"The James Dean mural with a car at the Wreck and Mend auto shop – (can be seen from the parking lot of the Crow’s Nest) s not eligible for mural status approval thru the City LA Department of Cultural Affairs because it is on the building where the business is Cars, so the car being in the picture makes it a sign and not a mural. A Signage permit will have to be taking out by the owner of the auto repair shop. For future murals, Beautification Committee has info and Early Notification process that needs to be done (It was suggested to add “Drive Safety” or “Remembered what happened to James Dean” and now it can be part of the Education program)." - Sunland Tujunga Neighborhood Council General Meeting May, 10th 2017 6:30PM
