HE HAD ACKNOWLEDGED HER REQUEST. She inquired his assistance to train. Specifically, practicing hand-to-hand combat. The lightning dragon slayer had a good grasp in physical techniques, but he would tacitly admit that her request had managed to CATCH HIM OFF GUARD. Out of all people that could have searched for his help, it happened to be the celestial mage who responds to the name of Lucy Heartfilia. Truly, rarity was bestowed upon him.
And so, they did. They have arranged to meet away from the rambunctious headquarters of Fairy Tail, so that they could provide themselves with FURTHER CONCENTRATION. The location was in the woods, away from civilization, as well. Tranquility and solitude of a place was important. And it happened to be one of his usual spots where he could be seen training either on his own, or with the Raijinshuu. Seldom he would be seen with other individuals, and this time it was one of them. Yet, he wasn’t against assisting his fellow comrades, and Lucy was one of them.
Albeit how early in the morning it was, both of them were FOCUSED on the main purpose. And that was Lucy’s improvement in said skillset. But it was also a test for the incarnation of thunder. A test of his patience and his ability to teach someone something of his own knowledge. Regardless the ELIPSE of interactions between them, he was doing a decent job thus far. And the fact that the celestial mage was capable of understanding in a rapid motion and apply his advices through action, was making this situation even better and beneficial for both of them.
He was definitely on the defensive side— this was for the sake of Lucy’s BETTERMENT. He would display a technique in a distance from her and eventually she would apply it upon him. From punches to kicks, all of them showcased with different ways. Some of them were aiming for the upper torso or higher, and some of them were aiming on lower parts of the body. And the proper execution of them was THE MAIN GOAL. Laxus was quite strict, he would admit of such— but it was inevitable. Being naive wasn’t a trait that could depict him. But STRICTNESS belonged in the list.
And she was improving SIGNIFICANTLY. Whilst she wasn’t near a level that would allow her to fight without magical prowess, it was a good start, nonetheless. The Thunder God found himself almost astonished at how quick she was picking up, not to menton not giving up. He was stern with her— he would scold her and even yell at her, but without having any malicious intentions.
For now, they had decided to take a break and REST their bodies for a few minutes. He sat on the cold and hard surface of a rock. Drops of perspiration would stroll through the flesh of skin, as his pattern of respiring of quite audible, with exhalations eluding parted lips. His attire consisted of a sleeveless black shirt, clinging unto his abdominal muscles and pectorals. A simple pair of trousers and sports shoes, of the same color— appropriate enough for an OCCASION like this.

HE TOOK NOTICE OF HER PRESENCE once more, due to the words that reverberated the atmosphere. Instantaneously, he tilted his head, now facing her. It took a moment for his mind to comprehend, but quick enough for subtle lips to take the formation of an OBLIQUE CURVE upon his face. Consequently, a distinctive expression was engraved upon his face. One that unveiled confidence at excellence, with a layer of arrogance. He would silently avow that her words raised the element of SURPRISE on a high pedestal. However, he would be an imbecile if he were to divulge any grievances.
Besides, offering A LOOK OF SCRUTINY at her, it would be a lie to say that he doesn’t enjoy the view in front of him. Whilst such contemplations weren’t on the front of his mind, it didn’t took much for said thoughts to cross on the front line and provide him with numerable and possible scenarios between them. The celestial mage surely was someone who portrayed BEAUTY, and witnessing such confidence coming from her was another characteristic that he valued. Not to mention her HIGH INTELLIGENCE that was greater than his own. There’s certainly many reasons to like someone like her, and those were some of them.
But now, he focused on the SITUATION that is transpiring at this moment. Adjusting his weight, in a shift motion he was now standing on his feet. His legs started moving in an idle pattern, eliminating the proximity between them. Momentarily afterwards, he halted his footprints, standing towering in front of her, without altering his expression. Tints of fire opal were piercing her own. And it was only a matter of time for his deep voice to echo the ambiance, offering a set of words working as a response to her own.
❛ Someone’s gettin’ too confident, I see. The chances of me defeatin’ you are touchin’ the sky. So, with that been said, I’ll let you choose— with, or without tongue? ❜
TWO CAN PLAY THIS GAME, AFTER ALL.
