I was actually supposed to post this last Nov 18th for a Promo Tour Stop but since I was blocked the entire weekend, I’m still playing catch up😅 𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐔𝐀𝐋 𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆: 4.95 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐬 ✨ FREAKING HECK, MY HEART WAS BREAKING ALL OVER THIS BOOK! I’ve been palpitating on and off and couldn’t get to sleep so I finished it and trying to make sense of the period of waiting until the next one is released at 1:30 in the morning🥲 It’s officially my fave book in the entirety of the Blood and Ash world, and that’s saying something. TCOGB was my fave of the bunch but ALIFT was eons ahead in my opinion as to the emotional impact, story flow, the writing and character development. I didn’t even think JLA could have made me fall for this world harder, but then she brings out ALIFT😂 I’m contemplating if I should demote Cas to a book boyfie to make way for Nyktos or even Nektas in my book hubbies list🤣 (Forgive me, mi luv🥹). I think what’s making me feel and think this way is because we got a more mature set of characters in FAF than BAA and the topics and how Sera’s anxiety was described resonated so much with me. JLA described it the way I usually encounter, and I felt a sense of camaraderie (if this description fits), or how I could sympathize so much. And then there are the Drakens, of course😂 This isn’t a proper enough review yet but I hope I stop my sepanx with the BAA/FAF world to pick up another book😅 Have a lovely rest of Wednesday, my friends✨ #TheBookwormPrincess👸🏻 #alightintheflame #fleshandfire #jenniferlarmentrout https://www.instagram.com/p/ClTq33Nyhme/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
