Elijah had seen her the moment he had walked into the house. He knew who she was. The daughter of the Petrova patriarch. For a man with not one, but two daughters- and twins at that, who from any family other than this would have earned an incredible amount at auction- his place in this vampire ruled world both surprised and didn’t surprise Elijah.
The man wasn’t often involved trafficking, but it wasn’t terribly unheard of. It was surprising that he could do that considering the girls he had at home, but at the same time, his involvement provided him with enough money to keep his daughters away from the auctions and firmly away from vampires. Truthfully, Elijah doubted the girl was even supposed to be there right now. Had his brother been the one that had come here to do this business, he might have demanded the pair of girls with little care for what their father wanted.
Once he had finished speaking to the rather annoying human man, he left the room and headed out into the overly decorated foyer, spotting the young woman lingering near the base of the stairs. He looked over at her, slipping a hand into his pants’ pocket. “You must be…Katerina.”
