         there was a lot of noise. the sound of lots of footsteps and voices. something was happening —and he hoped being near it could put him at ease a little.

He set his plan in stone as soon as an alley came into view. A man heading from the opposite direction threatened to throw a wrench in it, so Akira fervently gestured to him to head down the alley as well. He could serve as a distraction target as well, but Akira wasn’t so desperate that he’d intentionally sacrifice someone else.

Stepping into the alley whether the man followed or not, he quickly dug a number of empty soda cans out of his bag. Dropping the bag, he held them between both hands, took a ready stance, and then threw them as far down the street the man had come from as he could. The clangs were meant to trick the shades into thinking he’d gone ahead, rather than where he was.

Grabbing the bag again, he dashed over to duck behind a nearby dumpster. Take what you can get. 

The first thing Nathaniel noticed when he had entered Cotes Ward were the many cherry blossom tress, all of them in perfect bloom. The sea of pink was mesmerizing, and he never recalled seeing any such trees back home. If they were, thy were in cities and parks he never visited, so to see them here was certainly something.

          “Kind of them to allow us safe passage.” Lunafreya says lightly. She had heard of the dangers of Mistwood—albeit briefly, but enough to stay wary and away no matter the curiosity. At least the festival allows an easier time to explore though urged to stay on a single path as they are. She finds herself not minding either way—the landscape of towering trees familiar enough to be somewhat comfortable and the act of planting a sapling was relaxing in a way she always found gardening to be.

Kind of them too to encourage the people to plant trees and hold the entire festival, besides. The turning of the seasons has always been a time Lunafreya felt should be celebrated in some capacity or another. People seem to be enjoying themselves already at any rate.

With a soft yawn, Eto had her back to the street; in front of her was the closed door of Owl’s Books, as she was currently preoccupied with locking things up. As she did so, Eto picked up on the sound of hurried foot steps. Looking up, she saw the tall, familiar face of a one Oda Sakunosuke.

“Oh,” she gave him a sleepy smile. “It’s you. Good evening.”

“Tell me... were you running a bit late? It certainly looks like it.”

Try as she might, these grocery store shelves were just too tall for her. The packet of cookies she wanted at the top were inaccessible to her, even standing in her tippy toes...

This would’ve never been a problem in Kjerag... not only because someone else did her shopping for her, but because back home people had the common sense to not store things where not everyone would be able to reach.

With a huff, she gave up and looked around for the nearest source of help she could find, locking eyes with someone else nearby in the aisle and choosing to ask them before they looked away.

“Excuse me, friend, but could I trouble you for some help?”
