Why do I feel like Lost would have been a better show if all of the flash-sideways stuff wasn’t there? Like if there was only just the people in the real world trying to actively get off the island and succeed, even with the Jacob curveball, it might have been a better show without the flash-sideways/purgatory plot.

But that’s skipping ahead. I’ll try not to do that, for anyone who has the misfortune of picking up this cursed piece of what someone might call literature. Time hopping could get rather confusing. In the grand scheme of things, though, this doesn’t matter. None of us really do. This book made that clear to me.
