The Sims 2 Remove Flashing Pink. I already solved the problem with the pink flashes. The reason is the texture memory that handles the message content,I have 37 GB of content. My video card had to process content in high quality texture memory of 3822 MB. I downgraded the texture quality to 1000Mb and the pink flashes disappeared. Sims 2 is not demanding on video memory, but processing textures for a lot of content can make problems. Make 1700 or 2000 MB of texture memory if you have 4 gigabytes or more of video memory. Make 1000Mb of texture memory if you have 2 or 3 gigabytes of video memory. UPD: If someone has a video card of 1 Gigabyte of video memory, then also make 1000 MB of texture memory.If the pink flashes appear again, lower the texture memory to 512 MB. If someone has 512 MB of video memory (which is unlikely) make 512 or 256 MB of texture memory
