Do you think it’d be if you make your best friend fight and defeat you despite him not wanting to, for the better of a person neither of you have technically even met? Even when both of you have memories that belong to this person, when you’re only part of his whole?

Is it when you pretend that you got possessed, you make your friends fight you, all for their own good? For their survival? When you make them fight you, and throw you back into another world, all to make the darkness follow you so they can escape unharmed?

Is it when you put your entire being into an attack, protecting the boy that isn’t your best friend, simply because he used to be? Some part of him, that they tell you IS still in there, but you can’t seem to find?

Is it when you lock away one friend, and you find the other and save him from the Realm of Darkness, only to fall into it yourself? Unknowing that the boy you saved is no longer your friend in heart, only in body?

Is it when you overuse a power you KNOW you shouldn’t, but all of your friends die, so you do it anyway? When one of your motivations for your entire journey is turned into crystal and shattered, so you overuse that same power to save her, and then simply disappear?

Is it when your best friend and the boy you love is put to sleep to recover his memories, so you spend a year helping, and you fight his other — his Nobody — and said Nobody breaks your wrist? When you save him from an attack, only to get a hit to the back? Is it when you watch your other Guardians die, you watch the boy you love completely break down, and you give yourself to protecting him and making him realize he’s not alone?

People will tell you Kingdom Hearts is a “kids game”.
