ii. itâs been five years . but itâs as if it had only been yesterday .Â
iii. the day of her fatherâs death was one merida will never forget . shortly after the holy grail war she unintentionally threw herself in to , her clan got themselves in another war , which was her fatherâs last . the warrior king was taken down by one of the enemies in front of meridaâs eyes , but despite the pain he felt and the life fading from his bright blue eyes , he smiled as he drew his final breaths . merida was the only one who wasnât able to go to the funeral ; losing a loved one after losing another was too much for her .Â
iv. months later , she was crowned the queen of her clan . despite her late father not being there to see it , the redhead held her head high as if he was . but in private , all she was able to do was shed tears - merida was probably never going to overcome the death of her father . not when she never expected him to fall .Â
v. the young adult had finally gotten some time to herself , which she used to visit her fatherâs grave . it was simple , save for some runes that shared his story of how he lived and how he died on the battlefield , leaving behind elinor and his children . the queen held an armful of wildflowers , all for the stone marking that her father was buried where his own daughter stood . kneeling to place the plants by the stone , meridaâs face contorted into one of mourning , embracing herself as she began to shed tears once again .Â
