Flagfish (Jordanella floridae)
Also known as the American Flagfish, the flagfish is a species of pupfish (Cyprinodontidae) which is the sole member of the monotypic genus Jordanella. Flagfish are native to the state of Florida, where it will occur in vegetated sloughs, ponds, lakes, and sluggish streams, it is also known to occasionally enter brackish water. Flagfish have a wide diet and will feed on a range of freshwater invertebrates (including annelids, crustaceans, and insects) and plant matter.
