Or grateful. But it only liked what I could do for it, how it felt around me.” She scoffed, “he didn't understand what grief was. What love was.” The Doctor glanced at her, but she pretended not to notice. "How do you know that?" Rage pulsed in her ears. Of course he'd make her say such a thing aloud. "I thought you'd died, Doctor," Tegan spat, an accusation of deepest betrayal.
