You ever think about how Adric was so obviously suicidal and just wanted a parental figure in the Doctor to help him out of it but the Doctor was so afraid of loving a child as their own after failing Susan which lead Adric to kill himself as a sacrifical lamb believing he'd never be loved, which irreversibly fucked up the Doctor more than if they'd just overcome their fear and reached out to this suffering child?
