Yo yo yo!! Whatâs poppinâ yâall? Guess what? Chapter 6, the final chapter, of âCompass & Anchorâ has been posted on Ao3 by none other than @meridiansdominoes and I!! Whoo whoo!!! This calls for celebration!! This fanfic was written for Fivesâ week, organized by @cassandras-nest (Originally painkiller80) back in July. This baby, like many of its siblings, is full of drama and action!!
Will Echo and Fives manage to escape Techno Union? Will they escape unscathed? Find out in this chapter today!! Enjoy!
Ladies and gents, fellow people of the galaxy, citizens of the Republic here we are! The main post for the most exciting week in 2020 is here.
Fives Week 2020 have started as a random thought to celebrate the Best Boyâ˘, the one we all will love forever, the one that stole my heart since the start, the one that was able to save lives even if he wasnât there.
So what is it all about?
First of all the main theme: Love and everything in between.Â
I thought it would be only fitting for the celebration i had in mind. Love is what moves us all and love is the best feeling and the worst that inspires all of us to create, so why donât use it to for our beloved ARC-trooper? The list will be composed of single word prompts for each day, purposefully done to be used by writers and artists at the same time. I want everyone to be able to enjoy these days as much as possible, this is not a challenge but a way to express ourselves.
Thanks to @angelwars11â @captain-fivesâ @morganas-pendragonsâ for the help and the suggestionsÂ
So onto the rules, few but quite easy:Â
Writers: you can write about everything and anything. From the sweetest heartbreaking fluff to the angriest nasty angst (NSFW too if you feel up to just tag it properly) from relationships to friendships. You can write small drabbles, oneshots, headcanons and multichapter. (just use the âread moreâ option if it has more than 1k words) and use any trope you love. Love is such a universal word so be free and have fun (just no Clonecest, thank you for avoiding it)Â
also..there is a collection on Ao3 under the name Fives Week 2k20 -HERE- where all of you will be able to post your stories there too. (It is open and unmoderated)Â
___________
Artists: same rules applied. You can create anything your mind and the words i give you suggest, can use any style you like, go wild, iâll appreciate. Aside from artworks, moodboards/aesthetics and editing will be highly appreciated.
Reminder: these Prompts are general so you all can use them however you want. + there will be a bonus word to use anytime you want, even combined with the âword of the dayâÂ
Given that, you can choose to participate each day or just on the day you prefer most, this is entirely up to you.Â
When you all can start to post your works?Â
All the works must be posted starting from June 1st using the tag #fivesweek2020 so it will easier for me to like and reblog all of you. You can also tag me to help track your entries.
___________
Now onto the list:
theme: Love and everything in between
day 1: forbidden
day 2: family
day 3: unrequited
day 4: soulmates
day 5: enemies
day 6: kiss
day 7: jealousy
+ bonus prompt: loyalty (can be used freely)
___________
Thatâs all, i think i said everything. Questions or anything else, please contact me :) in the meantime i canât wait to see what you all come up with :). Have fun!
Fives and Echo are decanted out of the same vat. The Force chooses them, as it has done thousands of times before. The Jedi donât notice... but Darth Sidious does.
I wrote a quick thing for Fives Week 2020, for day 5â˛s prompt âEnemiesâ! Iâd written out several of these scenes a while ago, and I decided to dust them off and edit them up to support @painkiller80âs celebration! Iâm not completely happy with it, but itâll do I suppose. ummm... itâs a one-shot, so Iâll post it completely here, but itâs also kind of long for tumblr, so find it on ao3 here too: https://archiveofourown.org/works/24564922
This is kind of dark (itâs not very graphic but be forewarned) and thereâs a lot of manipulation going on. Just a heads up!
Fives goes to Coruscant and meets with the Chancellor. Itâs his last chance to present his evidence about the chips to someone who can actually help. The Jedi donât believe him. The Kaminoans are in on the whole thing and canât be trusted. The Chancellor listens carefully, smiles at him once Fives has said his piece (heâs drugged out of his mind, but that isnât enough to stop him), and says, very gently, âI believe you, trooper.â
And then Palpatine makes Fives disappear.Â
Fives wakes up in a cell, completely alone. There are no windows, and the meals that get pushed into his room are erratic and barely nourishing. Time loses all meaning very quickly. He moves around the room in the beginning, paces and prowls around as he waits for something, anything to happen, but as days stretch on (he thinks) Fives finds himself curled up into the far corner of his cell more often than not.
When Palpatine comes to see him itâs almost a relief, if only because heâs finally getting some form of human interaction. Clones are social, tactile, well-adjusted to a lack of privacy. Without the constant presence of his brothers, Fives feels like heâs drowning in his own thoughts.Â
Palpatine is not what he seems. Fives can feel that much. Itâs a sensation of wrongness so thick that it roils and clings to his insides like black sludge. Fives hadnât noticed it before. He doesnât understand it, doesnât know how to explain it or say why he can feel it with such clarity. He pulls himself to his feet with a weak snarl and braces himself for whatever Palpatine is planning on throwing at him.
Palpatine smiles at him in faint amusement. He reaches out a hand and hooks his fingers into claws. A wave of that horrible wrongness expands to fill the room. Fives shudders. He takes a nervous step back. He feels power hanging in the air, nearly tangible and undoubtedly destructive. It clogs up his throat. Palpatine flexes his fingersâthe smallest of movements, but suddenly thereâs an awful pressure closing in on Fivesâ body that rips away his will and forces him to his knees.Â
He pants helplessly but doesnât struggle once heâs down. He knows how to pick his battles, especially now that he finally understands what heâs dealing with.Â
âSith,â he forces out from between gritted teeth. He tries to ignore the cold terror in his gut at the word. Palpatine smiles, slow and knowing.Â
âVery perceptive,â he says. âDo you know why you are here, clone?â
Fives sneers at him.Â
âThe inhibitor chips are your doing,â he growls. Force save them all. The leader of the Republic is a Sith. Fives can barely breathe. So many lies. So many pointless deaths. The man that heâs sworn his loyalty to is a traitor. When he manages a weak inhale, it feels like heâs sucking ashes into his lungs.   Â
Palpatine doesnât confirm or deny the accusation. He scrutinizes Fives for a long moment. Fives tries not to squirm under his gaze, but he canât help but feel like the Sithâs eyes are piercing him to the very core.
âCurious,â Palpatine finally says. âAnd utterly foolish, that the Jedi did not notice sooner. Do you know what you are?â
Fives works his jaw and hesitates.Â
Heâs a clone. Heâs a soldier. Heâs an ARC trooper. But he doesnât think any of those answers is what Palpatine is looking for. When he doesnât answer, Palpatineâs eyes narrow a bit.
Something in Fivesâ mind snaps into place.
Suddenly thereâs a roaring in his ears and fire in his veins. He cries out. Something rippling and tense and alive sweeps over him. Itâs unrefined and rushing and rising and it hurts. His mind buzzes and vibrates with sensations that are completely foreign. Itâs too much, a persistent and all-consuming agony. He wants to curl up into a little ball and clutch at his skull, but the best he can do with Palpatine holding him down is close his eyes and wait for it to end.Â
The pain settles after a while. Fives pants through gritted teeth and blinks tears from his eyes as the sensations subsideâbut they donât leave him completely. He can feel odd little waves thrumming through him still, filling him with warmth instead of fire. He doesnât understand what that means. Â
âYou are an anomaly, clone. The Kaminoans did not intend for their projects to be Force-sensitive. Yet here we are.â
No. Thatâs... impossible.Â
Fives feels like the floor has dropped out from underneath him. Suddenly so many things make sense. The strange little tugs in his gut that warn him away from danger. The way can move faster than normal when he needs to, the way how the occasional blaster bolt skims right by him when it should score a hit. The awful cloying dark that left him dizzy on Umbara, that he hadnât known how to explain to Kix when the medic had asked him what was wrong.Â
The realization is accompanied by a fresh wave of fear that claws at his chest. If a Sith is taking such interest in the fact that a simple clone is Force-sensitive, Palpatine must want something from him.Â
âI wonât help you,â Fives growls. âIâd rather die!âÂ
Palpatineâs eyes gleam a sickly yellow.Â
âYour brother said the same thing,â he croons. âBut he did not last long. And you will not, either.â
Fives feels his heart clench.Â
âMy brotherâ?â
Except Palpatine doesnât answer him. The Sith leaves Fives there, pinned on his knees by the awful pressure of the dark side, and Fives has to focus on his breathing to keep himself from panicking.
Palpatine brings him brothers and tells Fives to kill them. Fives could. He knows how. He hasnât always had the good fortune to only be fighting against droids.Â
Of course he refuses. He wonât kill his brothers. The ones that Palpatine brings in are all Coruscant Guards, nothing but terror and horrified confusion in their eyes from the moment they step into the room.Â
Palpatine makes them beg for Fives to kill them.Â
Their deaths are slow, and their screams seem to echo around the room long after theyâve gone silent. Palpatine doesnât force Fives to do anything. He allows Fives to turn away and grit his teeth and struggle to keep his resolve and do his best to block everything out. Fives doesnât know what kind of game this is, but he wonât stoop so low as to kill a brother.Â
Except.
Palpatine brings in a shiny. Heâs small and afraid and probably just came to Coruscant directly from Kamino. He shakes like a leaf when Palpatine orders Fives to kill him, eyes wide as saucers. Fives just turns away as always, shoving down the urge to vomit, because he knows whatâs coming.Â
The shiny screams and begs and writhes and sobs and Force heâs so young. Heâs so young and he doesnât deserve this and Fives knows that Palpatine is going to drag it out for as long as the kidâs body will last. The Sith is only just getting started, and FivesâFives canât watch this. Not this time. Itâs too much.Â
Fives takes a hesitant step forward. Palpatine arches one eyebrow at him, unfazed as always. He gestures patiently towards the shiny on the ground and smiles in sick satisfaction when Fives slowly makes his way to the kidâs side.Â
Nothing feels real. He knows what heâs about to do but he feels detached from it somehow, like he isnât even in his own body. When he reaches out to place his hands on either side of the other cloneâs head, he realizes that his hands are shaking.Â
Heâs an ARC. His hands shouldnât shake. But they do now.Â
The shiny jerks at the contact. There are tears still streaming down his face. His expression is twisted in agony. His chest heaves from the force of his sobs, and heâs still begging under his breath for the pain to stop even though Palpatine isnât doing anything anymore.
Fives doesnât want to kill him. He doesnât want to, he wonât, he wonâtâ
âPlease,â the shiny breathes out desperately. Their gazes lock.
Fives breaks.
He makes it fast. Itâs the least he can do.
The body slumps lifelessly to the floor. Fives stares at it numbly and blinks back hot tears of his own.Â
âGood,â Palpatine tells him, smug and pleased.Â
Suddenly, Fives wants to kill him. Â
Something surges beneath his skin, red-hot and boiling and angry. He rises to his feet and clenches his fists as the sensation builds and builds and builds. Â
Heâs afraid and heâs furious and he hates. He hates Palpatine with every fiber of his being. He grabs at the Force and it comes to him easily, like it belongs in his grasp. It whispers to him, feeds off of his fury, grows and ignites into something that Fives can use.
He spins and throws the power at Palpatine with all the force he can muster. To his own inexperienced mind it feels like a tsunami of anger, an impenetrable wall of energy.
To Palpatine, itâs childâs play. The Sith bats Fivesâ attack aside with ease and flings out a hand. Fives goes hurtling across the room. He smashes into the side of his cell with a shout of pain and feels the Force immobilize his limbs once more. He gets dragged to his knees again, right in front of the dead clone.Â
The anger in him heaves at the sight, struggling to escape. Palpatine laughs. He clamps down on the energy in Fivesâ body and rips it from Fivesâ grasp. Fives has only just adjusted to the sensation of the Force flowing through him, and to have it torn away from him so abruptly feels like losing a limb. He slumps. His vision flickers. Â
âVery good,â the Sith praises. âYour anger will become your greatest strength.â
And he leaves again, keeps Fives pinned even though heâs long gone. Fives stares at the body in front of him and drowns in guilt and fear and regret.
The power that had surged through him had been dark. Fives doesnât want that. Heâs learned enough about Jedi to know that the Dark Side is evil, that it twists and contorts and confuses. He closes his eyes and vows that he wonât do it again.
Except.
Palpatine brings him another shiny. There are intricate tattoos curling around the kidâs jaw that seem brand new. Fives tries not to wonder what his name is, if his batchmates will miss him, what he likes to do during leave. He knows what the Sith is going to asks. He braces himself, steps forwards, and gets dragged to his knees again with little more than a twitch of Palpatineâs finger. He snarls with frustrationâheâs doing what Palpatine wants, if only to spare his brothers from suffering, so why is he being restricted?Â
âKill him,â Palpatine orders, and Fives fights, strains against the Force that holds him in place, but he canât move.Â
The shiny starts to scream. The tattoos across his face jump as he does.
And Fives canât do anything, canât help, canât end it, canât even turn his head away.
The anger builds up again until he canât contain it. It bursts out of him like a geyser, hot and sharp. Heâd vowed not to use it again, but he has to. Suddenly he can grab the Force again. He gathers it around himself until he has just enough strength to fling out a hand and reach.Â
Itâs instinctual and desperate. There is no finesse, no control. Fives knows that it wouldnât do any good to attack Palpatine again, but he can use the Force to put the poor shiny out of his misery. The Force swells around him, dark and angry and skittering around his skin as a life is snuffed out. Fives shudders. He drops to the floor. Palpatine allows the motion
âThis is progress,â the Sith says in a low voice as he withdraws from the cell.Â
He leaves Fives with the body again. He always does, until the cleaning droids come to take them away. Fives is too tired to lift his head and breathe his apology to the corpse like he usually does.
Progress to a Sith is not a good thing. Fives can feel himself fraying, can feel the warmth of the Force inside him beginning to curdle into something dark and cold. He tries to push it away and succeeds for the moment, but he already knows that heâs fighting a losing battle.Â
He curls himself into a ball and resigns himself to wait for Palpatineâs next visit.Â
There comes a point where Fives canât keep track of anything anymoreâof how many brothers heâs killed, of how many times heâs forced to his knees in front of the Sith, of how many times he willingly kneels just so that the pain will stop.Â
He begs sometimes, but Palpatine doesnât listen. If Fives strikes out at him, heâs easily subdued and punished. It never works, no matter how fast Fives is, no matter if he reaches for his anger. He canât compete with a true Sith.Â
Palpatine never explains the Force, never gives him a long lecture about how it functions like Fives had heard General Skywalker and General Kenobi give to Commander Tano during various points of the war. Instead, he throws Fives into problems headfirst and waits for Fives to figure it out himself.Â
Palpatine lets a Gamorrean into his cell. The Gamorrean is starving and half-mad. It takes great pleasure in throwing Fives across the room until Fives has at least three broken ribs and a large gash in his side that drips blood on the floor.Â
Heâs going to die if he doesnât do something. The dark nags at him, reminds him that it could help. Fives hesitates, but⌠heâs going to die.Â
He reaches for the darkness. He doesnât see any other options. The Force coils around him, fierce and ready, filling him with the strength to get to his feet.Â
After a long, steady stream of torture and humiliation and frustration, Fives takes vindictive glee in slamming the Gamorrean into the wall with the Force. Suddenly he has the power to end his own pain for the first time in⌠he doesnât even know how long. Somehow, itâs intoxicating. Fives kills the Gamorrean ruthlessly, and mercy doesnât even cross his mind once.Â
When the power drains itself from his body and his mind is finally cleared of the foggy darkness, he realizes what heâs done and vomits up every last bit of the meager meal heâd been given earlier.Â
He knows that it isn't right. He knows that, he knows that, but he doesnât know how else to survive. He rejects the dark and shoves it away the instant his stomach stops trying to kill him.Â
Palpatine comes back. This time he takes great pleasure in tearing Fivesâ mind to pieces, shredding into him with sharp edges of Force that send fire rippling through Fivesâ skull. Fives tries to call on the Force to defend himself, to put some sort of barrier or buffer against the mental barrage. It doesnât work. Heâs weak and inexperienced and slow.Â
Palpatine pulls him apart and puts him back together over and over again until Fives finally figures out how to construct trembling shields around himself, desperate for the agony to end. Palpatine shatters them to pieces anyway before he allows Fives respite. When he leaves Fivesâ mind, Fivesâ entire body trembles. It feels like there are holes drilled through his brain. He canât even wrap his hands around the tray that holds his next meal because heâs still shaking too badly.Â
Heâs long since abandoned any hope of rescue. Heâs also submitted himself to the fact that he will never be strong enough to overcome Palpatine. Sooner or later he thinks he wonât have enough of a mind left to do anything at all.Â
But Fives has always been stubborn.Â
Even through the terrible pain, he clings to a shred of defiance and a sliver of loyalty. Those things have been ingrained in his heart since he could walk, and itâs just enough to keep him from succumbing for now.Â
Fives can use the dark, can pull it to him and access that power, but he never lets it stay. He always forces it back down again, and thatâs not what Palpatine wants. Every time itâs more and more difficult to get rid of it. The Dark Side clings to him. It doesnât want to be subdued, and Fives is struggling against it.Â
Palpatine knows this. He knows every inch of Fivesâ mind by now. Fives has no secrets, no tricks, no ideas that the Sith does not know.Â
So naturally Palpatine knows exactly what it takes to get Fives to break.
At first, Fives thinks that heâs dreaming. The door to his cell opens. Fives rolls and drops to his knees instinctively, because whatever Palpatine has planned for today will only be ten times worse if he doesnât.Â
Someone laughs at him, quiet and fond.
âYou donât need to do that for me,â they say, and Fivesâ head snaps up.Â
Echo meets his gaze, a small smile playing across his lips. Heâs wearing a black tunic, and he looks completely unconcerned by the conditions of Fivesâ cell. Fives nearly chokes.Â
âE-EchoâŚ?â
Echo approaches him. Fives shrinks back, eyes darting around the room. Itâs a trick. It has to be some sort of test. Echo halts, raising his hands non-threateningly.Â
âWhoa, hey. Iâm not going to attack you.â
âIâm dreaming,â Fives says through chapped and bloody lips. âYouâre dead.â
Echo raises an eyebrow and raises a hand, wiggling his fingers at Fives pointedly. A glove covers almost the entire limb.Â
âIâm not dead, Fives,â he says. âBut I do have a few fake limbs now, if that makes you feel better.â
Fives shakes his head. He isn't convinced. Echo sighs.Â
âFeel me, then. You can do that by now, right? Use the Force.â
Fives closes his eyes and turns away from him. He wonât believe this. Echo has been dead for a long time.Â
âAlright then,â he hears Echo mutter, and suddenly something taps at his mind, gentle yet insistent. Fives throws his shields up so fast that he sees Echo wince out of the corner of his eyes⌠and then Fives has to take a moment to process. He turns back to Echo, eyes wide.Â
Palpatine is never gentle.Â
âGonna let me in?â Echo asks him, arching an eyebrow. Fives can barely breathe, but when the tapping comes again, Fives lets his shields drop and suddenly he feels. He knows Echoâs thoughts, recognizes the patterns and quirks that heâs understood since Kamino, and that canât be replicated by anyone else. Their minds twine together. A connection spins into existence.
Fives feels everything. He feels a curl of light amusement from his brother, a flash of pity, a wave of relief. It feels right, it feels good. Echo slides into Fivesâ mind like he belongs there. Itâs the first time someone has entered Fivesâ mind without accompanying pain. Fives relaxes into the sensation.
Echo is not dead.Â
Heâs real. Heâs here. This isnât a dream.Â
Suddenly Fives feels cold terror.Â
He yanks his mind away from Echoâs with a cry of alarm.Â
âNo, no, you canât be here,â Fives moans. âYou canât be real, please, heâll make me kill you, you have to leaveâ!â
Echo laughs again.Â
âOh, thatâs right,â he says casually. âIâd nearly forgotten about that part. Donât worry about it too much, Fives. Itâs not a big deal. Besides, he wonât make you kill me. He sent me here.â
Fives recoils. Suspicion sends awful prickles down his spine, because that⌠that isnât right. Echo is real, but something else isnât.Â
He reaches for Echoâs mind this time. Echo raises an eyebrow at him but lets Fives dive into his thoughts.
On the surface, Echoâs mind is bright and intelligent, just as Fives had known it would be. Behind Echoâs normal thoughts and familiar attributes, the dark side swells and ebbs like the tide of the sea. Fives narrows his eyes.
âYouâre not Echo,â he says sharply. Echo frowns.
âI can reassure you that I am,â he says, coming closer. Fives draws himself up, calling the Force into his grasp and shoving outward. Echo staggers back. Then he grins.Â
âThatâs pretty good,â he says. âYouâre learning faster than I did, I think.â
Fives stiffens. Echo starts to come closer again, and Fives can feel himself crumbling, falling, struggling to remain defiant because itâs Echo. Itâs his twin, his brother, his last batchmate, and heâs right in front of him when Fives thought that he was dead.Â
When Echo reaches out and pulls Fives close, all of Fivesâ defenses topple. He melts into the touch, breath hitching over a sob. Echo makes a soft noise and guides them to the floor. Fives clings to his brother. He knows that something is still horribly wrong but he hasnât gotten this type of comfort in so long. Itâs selfish, but even if this is a trick Fives is still going to take what he can get.Â
âForce, Echo.â His voice trembles. Heâs shaking. He keeps his eyes squeezed shut, curls his fingers into the fabric of Echoâs tunic and reminds himself to breathe. âHow are you alive?â
âThe Separatists picked me up at the Citadel,â Echo says quietly. âI was missing three limbs and bleeding out, but I fought anyway. They were surprised to learn that I could use the Force. So was I. Then they brought me here.â
Fives presses his face into Echoâs shoulder. His voice comes out muffled by the fabric. âYouâre like me, then.â
âCourse I am,â Echo replies. âWe came out of the same vat, didnât we? Why would you have something that I donât?â
Fives doesnât have an answer to that. He lets himself drift for a while, burrowing himself in the warmth and comfort and contact that heâs been craving. He canât remember the last time he was able to hug someone. Part of him is worried that if he lets go, Echo will disappear, and Palpatine will take his place.Â
The illusion canât last forever, because Fives canât forget what heâs already seen. Echo is real, but he is not the same.Â
âWhat did he do to you?â Fives asks in little more than a whisper. Heâs afraid of the answer heâll receive. Echo shrugs.Â
âThe same thing that heâs doing to you,â he says lightly. âSo I understand, Fives. I know that it hurts. I know exactly how you feel right now.â
âIf you understand that, then get me out of here,â Fives says weakly. Echo sighs.
âI know, I know,â he soothes. âI wanted to leave, too. But Fives, you need to understand. It makes everything so much better. It hurts now, but when heâs finished youâll be better. Stronger. Youâll be free. I promise.â
Echo strokes a gentle hand down Fivesâ back. Fivesâ stomach heaves. His skin crawls, but he canât bring himself to pull away.
âHe broke you,â he whispers in horror. Echo finally shifts, separating them just enough that Echo can look Fives in the eyes without letting go of him completely.Â
âNo. He fixed me, Fives. Just be patient. Youâll understand soon.â His eyes gleam yellow in the dark.Â
Fives needs to let go. He needs to let go, it isnât right, if he listens to Echo heâll break and itâll be the end. He needs to let go. He needs to pull away from this twisted shadow of his brother and continue to fight.Â
But he canât.Â
Itâs Echo.Â
He curls himself further into Echoâs embrace and sobs. Echo holds him tight, offers him comfort, worms his way into Fivesâ mind and sends him waves of warmth and reassurance.Â
If Fives closes his eyes and ignores everything around him, he can almost forget that Echo isnât himself.Â
âI missed you,â Echo whispers into Fivesâ ear. Fives swallows and doesnât say anything in return.Â
Echo is almost always present, after that. He accompanies Palpatine every time Fives gets a visit. He watches, speaks sometimes, and then stays behind when Palpatine is finished to pull Fives into his arms and hold him as Fives tries to remember who he is.Â
Heâd hoped that Echoâs presence would make things easier, but it makes things worse. He tells Fives to give in, promises him that things will be better, whispers that he canât wait until they can be together again. Palpatine lets him speak. All of them know Fivesâ weakness. All of them know that heâs breaking, that itâs just a matter of time before Fives loses the battle and lets the dark take him as it has his brother.Â
Fives, please,â Echo pleads with him, while Fives struggles to cling to his sanity and ignores the dark inside him thatâs begging to be used. âPlease, the longer you fight, the longer it will hurt. I want you with me, I donât want you to get hurt anymore. FivesâŚâÂ
Fives canât look at him. Sweat drips down his brow like a river. His mind is combusting. He convulses on the floor, gritting his teeth so hard that part of him thinks that they might shatter. The dark swirls to life. Fives grabs it, pulls it close and feels a bit of the pain fade minutely.Â
âYouâre so close,â Echo tells him. âJust let it stay, Fives. Itâs not just a tool. You have to make it a part of you.â
Fives snarls.
âNo,â he hisses. He lets go of the dark and allows the pain to return.Â
Dimly, in the back of his mind, he knows that this is the last time heâll have the strength to rebel. Echo makes a sound of frustration and hurt.
Palpatine doesnât say anything. He doesnât ever now, really. Fives is sure that the Sith thinks itâs beneath him. He hadnât spoken much when it had just been the two of them either, and now Echo does the talking. Palpatineâs presence leaves Fives without warning. The sudden freedom so unexpected that Fives gapes in bewilderment.Â
Heâd been expecting lightning and agony as a result of his disobedience. It doesnât come. Palpatineâs eyes flicker over to Echo. Echo doesnât say anything, but he nods once, and Palpatine leaves with a sweep of his robes.Â
Fives hauls himself shakily to his feet, confused.Â
âW-whatâ?â he croaks out.Â
âYouâre not going to like this at all,â Echo says, and for the first time, Fives hears regret in his brotherâs voice.Â
âWhat are you talking aboutâ?â
Echo reaches out and grabs him with the Force. Echoâs never done that before. Heâll enter Fivesâ mind, press some of the pain away when heâs allowed to, but heâs never used it to paralyze, or to harm like the Sith does. Fives panics, because for a brief moment heâs afraid that Echo is going to pick up right where Palpatine left off.Â
Instead, Echo lifts him, brow furrowed, and pulls Fives with him out of the cell.Â
Fives doesnât know whatâs going on. He tries to fight. He batters his will against Echoâs because Echoâs strength canât compare with Palpatineâs and Fives can actually make him flinch. But Echo still has more experience than Fives does, and he keeps mostly Fives motionless as he walks them through a dim hallway and into another room.Â
Thereâs a chair in the center of the room. Echo eases Fives into it and fastens cuffs around Fivesâ arms and legs. Fives pants in apprehension. This doesnât look good. He doesnât think it could possibly hurt more than Palpatine can make it, but Echo is grim, and that makes him worry.
âYou just⌠need a little push. Thatâs all,â Echo says quietly. âItâs okay. I needed it too.â
âThe kriff is this?â Fives demands, jerking against the metal restraints. âLet me go!â
âYou know I canât,â Echo reminds him curtly. âThis is to help you, Fives. Why is that so hard for you to comprehend?â
âIf you really wanted to help me, you would have stopped this a long time ago,â Fives gasps out. Echo huffs and ignores that.Â
âThis device is experimental. Our Master hopes to use it in the future, to show others like us the true ways of the Force. It will let you see things as I do, I hope.â
Echo pauses for a moment. Fives feels him reaching out towards their Force bond, sending him apologies and peace and reassurance that Fives does not want. He recoils from it, pushes Echo away, and he sees Echoâs eyes go wide with shock.Â
âYou arenât my brother,â Fives snarls at him. âMy brother is dead.â
For a moment, Fives can see past the dark that swirls in Echoâs eyes. Something shatters. Echo tries to reach for him again, tugging at the bond forcefully. Fives flinches and cuts him off. Echoâs side of the bond lights up with confusion and panic, but Fives wonât let him in.Â
A moment later, Echoâs expression hardens, and anger replaces the vulnerability.Â
Echo slams his hand down onto the control panel at his side. The machine begins to whir to life. Fives glances down and sees needles drawing closer to his skin on either side of him. He swallows.
âEcho...â
âYou could have avoided this, you know. You could have stopped it already. You have the power to end it. All you have to do is stop rejecting it, stop rejecting me,â Echo snarls. His eyes flash yellow again. Fives hates it when they do that. Itâs a harsh reminder that his brother is gone, that Echo has been replaced by something that has his face but not his heart.
âYou donât have to be afraid. Not of the chair, not of the Dark Side, not of anything. You have me now,â Echo whispers in his ear. âArenât you grateful? I didnât have anyone to get me through these things. I was all alone.â He bares his teeth in a pale imitation of a smile. âIt nearly killed me. Youâre lucky, Fives. Lucky that Iâm here to help.âÂ
Electroprods blaze to life. Fives hadnât even noticed them until now, but theyâre inching close alongside the needles. Fives trembles. He canât, he canât, he canât. Heâs so tired of pain.
âEcho, donât. Please. Get me out of here, this isnât youâ!â
Echoâs expression twists into a distorted parody of sympathy. He strokes a hand over Fives hair in a motion thatâs supposed to be soothing before taking a step back so that heâs out of range of the chairâs influence. âIâm right here. You just have to endure it, and hate. Everything will be alright after that. Trust me. Iâll be right here, donât worry.â
Fives twists, shakes, closes his eyes and tries to shut out Echoâs words because itâs wrong, itâs twisted and horrible and heâs so, so afraid.Â
âEcho, let me go. Echo, please! Please, please donât donâtâ!â
When he wakes up, his world is on fire. He moans before he can stop himself and that just makes it worse. It feels like there are shards of glass down his throat. Heâs curled in a little ball next to someone, and he doesnât need to see in order to know who it is.Â
âSleep, Fives,â Echo tells him. Fives is too tired, too hurt, too beaten down to even think about disobeying. He drifts off again, but when he comes to once more the pain hasnât faded even a bit.Â
Echo is speaking in the dark of the cell, breathing something out in quiet rolling syllables that Fives doesnât understand. The words grate against Fivesâ mind. Theyâre⌠familiar, somehow, but not to him. The dark in him leaps in recognition.Â
âNwĂťl tash. Dzwol shâsotkun. ShâsotjontĂť châtsatul nu tyĂťk. TyĂťkjontĂť châtsatul nu midwan. MidwanjontĂť châtsatul nu asha. AshajontĂť kotswinot itsu nuyak. Wonoksh qyâsik nun.â
Echo repeats it once, twice, three times. Fives doesnât try to speak just yet. Even lifting his head sends lightning pain skittering through his body. Echo must sense that heâs awake. He prods at Fivesâ mind through the bond, and Fives is too weak to resist this time. Echo hums in satisfaction as their minds curl together. Fives pushes at him weakly, but Echo bats his protests aside.Â
âYou want to know what it means?â he asks quietly. âItâs what you could have, if youâd let us show you. Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The Force shall free me.â He pauses. âDo you want to be free, Fives?â
Fives rumbles out a bitter laugh that vibrates through his bones and makes him ache.
âI am free. Youâre the one who isnât.â
Echo doesnât say anything for a long, long moment.Â
âMaybe Iâm not,â he finally admits. âBut youâll join us anyway. If itâs true that Iâm not free, you wonât leave me to face servitude alone.â
 Servitude. Ha.Â
âIâm loyal to the Republic,â Fives croaks out, but he hasnât actually thought of the Republic in a long time. Echo laughs at him.
âMaybe you were,â he whispers. âBut youâve always been more loyal to me.âÂ
Heâs right. Fives loves his brother far more than he will ever love the Republic.
Fives is done resisting. Heâd known that he was going to give in the moment heâd seen Echo. Heâs just been putting it off. He closes his eyes and lets every muscle in his body go slack. The barriers that heâs put up to keep the dark away fade. The dark swells, throbs, billows to life. Fives lets it swallow him whole.Â
The dark is his friend. The dark belongs with him. It sings contentedly as it thrums between him and his brother, binding them together as they kneel at Palpatineâs feet. When the Sith gestures for them to rise, they do so as one, more in sync than theyâve ever been. Fives shares a victorious glance with Echo as Palpatineâs satisfaction rolls over them.
âYou are my prototypes,â he tells them with a slow smile. âThe predecessors to my future Inquisitors. Your conversions were successful, and theirs will be, too.â
The Sith presents them with lightsabers. Fives accepts the weapon and licks his lips. The dark curls around him like a blanket. It isnât cold, not anymore.Â
Heâs not sure why it had taken him so long to accept it.Â
His bond with Echo is alight with energy and power. Fives can practically taste it. He knows that Echo can, too.Â
It is better, just like Echo had promised. And Fives doesnât really care what happens to him anymore, not as long he can stay side by side with his brother.  Â
And back to the fluff. I swear itâs fluff. For the prompt âUnrequitedâ for @painkiller80âs Fives Week.
***
Fives curled in a miserable ball, trying to keep tears from stinging at his eyes. Everything hurt, felt like he was being ripped apart from the inside out in pain unlike anything the Kaminoans had ever trained them to expect. Betrayal, he thought, left a bitter taste in his mouth and a sour feeling in his stomach. It was almost as bad as the shame he felt as his brothers gave him knowing, pity filled looks.
"You knew it would be a bad idea," Kix said. "We all tried to warn you. Not even you can eat sixteen Swiss rolls."

So. This took way longer than I expected and also got way longer than I planned. Also, thanks to @aromantic-mandalorianâ, Iâm eventually going to revisit this and write a whole AU based around it. Written for @painkiller80ââs Fives Week. Sorry itâs so late!Â

Day 3- Unrequited
Fives really wished his brothers would stop laughing at him.
He wished theyâd do a lot of things honestly. Like quit staring. And tell him why theyâd been staring and laughing so much. And maybe help him get these civilians settled. But heâd settle for them not laughing at him anymore.
It was one thing for Echo to be laughing at him. His twin was kind of weird sometimes, and Fives was accustomed to ignoring him when he was clearly having fun at Fivesâs expense. But more and more of them had been watching him and trying to hide laughter. And they werenât being sneaky about it.
Heâd even caught Rex watching him with a smirk on his face.
For the moment, he was trying to keep his head down and do his job while ignoring the eyes following him (looking at you, Jesse and Echo).
The 501st had spent the last 3 months attempting to retake the planet of Akiva with help from the locals. It had been a long, hard campaign and they were finally starting to see results. The 501st had recently liberated a major settlement from Separatist control. They had a few days before they would need to begin the march to their next mission and meet up with the 212th. The local Akivans had graciously offered to host the clones as thanks for their assistance, with some homes opening their doors to take in the wounded and give them proper beds.
Echo, Fives, Jesse, and a few other members of Torrent were assigned to work with one of the leaders of the local resistance as they began the process of working through the aftermath of the battle. They were supposed to be helping to repair some of the damage to the existing structures and setting up temporary quarters for everyone not being put up by the locals.
Instead, Fives was doing most of the heavy lifting while his diâkut brothers watched and laughed and pretended to be productive.
âA little help would be appreciated,â he snarled under his breath as he dragged yet another piece of lumber by Jesse and Echo, trailing behind the local- a human woman.
Echo only snickered, and Jesse gave Fives a shit-eating grin.
âAnd get in your way? We would never!â
âWhat does that even mean?! Sharal shebse,â he bit out, gritting his teeth as he heard them continue to cackle behind him.
He turned and found the local- sheâd given her name, what was it...Lorten? Raya Lorten? Something like that...- already watching him, a strange look in her eyes. Fives blinked in surprise.
She quirked an eyebrow at him, looking vaguely amused as she nodded at his brothers.Â
âYour brothers not the helpful sort?â Fives frowned, shooting an annoyed look over his shoulder. They were supposed to be representing Torrent while Rex and the General strategies!
âTheyâre normally plenty helpful. And more willing to pitch in to get the job done. Iâm not entirely sure whatâs gotten into them. Sorry about that, maâam.â He offered her an apologetic smile. Hopefully, they wouldnât think too badly of them just because a few of his brothers had decided to be a bunch of lazy dikutâe.
âCall me Raina, Sergeant,â she said with a smile. âAnd donât worry about them, youâve all certainly earned a break. We owe you for helping us retake our home.â
âJust doing our job, maâam. And thereâs still work to be done if weâre going to finish these repairs by nightfall.âÂ
Lorten huffed, slumping. âThereâre always repairs to be done around here.â She seemed to rally herself, smiling again, flipping her long ponytail over her shoulder. âWeâve got a solid amount of work done...Fives, right?â He nodded. âWe got a solid amount of work done, Fives. All thatâs left is getting enough places set up that you and your brothers arenât camping outside.âÂ
âAt this rate, theyâd deserve it,â Fives laughed. âSeeing as theyâre sitting around instead of helping out. But Iâd prefer a roof over as many heads as possible.âÂ
Lorten threw her head back, laughing. âCanât say I blame you. Itâs very sweet how much you care for your brothers.â She looked almost bashful now.Â
âSomeoneâs gotta be the responsible one! Usually, itâs Echo, but if heâs gonna goof off, I guess itâs gotta be me.âÂ
âOh, come on-â Both Fives and Lorten turned as they heard an indignant shout from behind them. Fives furrowed his brows in confusion as he saw Echo slapping a hand over Jesseâs mouth, rolling his eyes. His twin only shook his head at Fives confused look before leaning in to whisper something to the other trooper. He turned back around and found Lorten still looking at him, an expression he couldnât quite read on her face.
â...Right.â She paused for a moment, almost seeming to size Fives up as she looked at him before her expression cleared. âWould you like some help setting up your encampment? We could go gather some more lumber together. Iâm sure itâll go faster with the two of us!âÂ
âNo need.â Fives shook his head with a smile. âThe boys and I have already got all we need. Now we just have to assemble it.âÂ
âOh...â she slumped a little, before straightening. âWell. Letâs get on that, then!â For some reason, Lorten looked...disappointed by that response. Fives couldnât understand why. The trees here were extremely hardy. Chopping them down and turning the wood into a usable form hadnât been a fun job.Â
âBy all the little godsâŚâ That was definitely Echoâs voice, sounding exasperated. He looked over his shoulder and saw his twin face-palming and Jesse staring at him, a look of frustration on his face.Â
Fives frowned and started to walk over to ask what was wrong, but Lorten called out to him.Â
âYou coming?âÂ
Fives frowned, but Jesse waved him off and Echo had turned to apparently actually try and get some work done. So he decided to leave them to it and follow her.Â
------------------
For the rest of the day, Lorten followed Fives around, helping him set up accommodations for the rest of the troops, offering him water, some food, encouraging him to take breaks. At one point, when Fives had removed his armor and was just in blacks in order to make maneuvering around easier, she offered to take the top and wash it for him. That one had actually caught him off-guard enough to make him almost trip off the roof heâd been working on. Sheâd looked almost frustrated when heâd turned her offer down.Â
It was a little strange, but it was nice having a civilian being friendly for a change. Most tended to act like he and his brothers were invisible. Even if being at the center of her attention was kind of strange, it was nice to feel that the work he and the other vodâe had done was appreciated.Â
Echo and Jesse, who had finally decided to actually contribute and had been working alongside him, had just sighed and shook their heads. All of Fivesâs attempts to pester answers out of them were met with exasperated looks of amusement nearly identical to Rexâs and them telling him not to worry about it.Â
-------------------
It was a long day of work, but they managed to get everything done before night officially fell. Fives was sitting with a group of his in the temporary barracks theyâd assembled, a mix between a tent and a lean-to, laughing and joking around as they shared rations and relaxed.
âWell, this looks cozy!âÂ
A sudden hush fell over the group as Fives turned and found Lorten smiling at him. He returned it easily.Â
âJust winding down for the day before we get some rest.â He waved invitingly for her to join them, shooting a confused look around at his suddenly quiet brothers. Conversations slowly started back up, quieter than before. He couldnât shake the feeling that he was being watched.
âSeems like a good way to end the day.âÂ
They made polite conversation for a few minutes, before she looked around, frowning contemplatively.Â
âAre you all going to be sleeping in here?â she asked. Fives blinked at the sudden subject change.Â
âWell, yeah.âÂ
âItâs so crowded, though!âÂ
âWeâre all pretty used to it. You should see some of the quarters on Kamino!âÂ
She bit her lip, looking around, before meeting his eyes. âWould you like to spend the night at my home? Iâve got the room, and itâs more private,â she offered, hesitantly. Fives blinked in surprise. He smiled, appreciating the offer, even if he wouldnât be accepting it.Â
âThatâs alright, Iâm not really used to sleeping alone without anyone else around anyway.âÂ
There was the sound of cursing behind Fives, but he ignored it; someone must have lost pretty badly in the sabaac game.Â
Lorten bit her lip, hesitating, before smiling at him. âWell, we could always share the bed. You certainly wouldnât be sleeping alone.âÂ
That drew Fives up a little short.Â
âI appreciate the offer, maâam, but Iâd hate to impose on you like that. I should probably stay here with the rest of my brothers, anyway.âÂ
Lorten stared at him for a long moment, before sighing and slumping a little. âRight,â she muttered, standing up and departing without another word with a frustrated expression on her face. He watched her go, confused.
Fives noticed how silence had fallen all around him. He turned and found all his brothers staring at him judgmentally. Rex was shaking his head and smiling a little.
âWhat?â Fives demanded. âYouâve been weird all day!â He pointed accusingly at Echo and Jesse. âSeriously, whatâs going on? Why are you all staring at me?âÂ
âFives,â Echo started, sounding incredibly done, âLorten has been flirting with you.âÂ
He blinked. What?
There was a sudden uproar. Several of his other brothers were suddenly complaining and groaning in Echoâs direction.Â
âCâmon, Echo!â one of the younger troopers, Fives thinks his name is Knot, piped up.Â
âHe wasnât getting it! And itâs not like anyone was winning the bet anyway!â Echo shot back.Â
Fives finally managed to get his brain working enough to respond.Â
âWhat?!âÂ
Jesse just laughed, the sheb. âYeah, vod, she hasnât even been subtle. You just...didnât pick up on it. At all.âÂ
âWhat- No! She wasnât-â
âRayâika-â And oh, little gods, Rex was breaking out the nickname, this was bad- âshe just invited you to share her bed.âÂ
Oh.Â
Oh.Â
Fives looked around at his brotherâs faces, desperately searching for some sign they were joking. He couldnât find any; they all were looking at him with something approaching pity now.Â
âBut- but I donât want to do- that with anyone!â He wailed, burying his face in his hands. There were some scattered chuckles and grumbles. Fives startled when someone slapped a hand on his shoulder, looking up to see Echo smiling at him. His face had a mix of sympathy and amusement on it.Â
âWe know, vod. She probably doesnât though.âÂ
"Why does this always happen to me?" Fives would never admit that he was whining. His twin laughed, ruffling his hair as best he could.Â
"Who knows? You seem to have a certain amount of charm."
âYou might want to sort that out, quick,â Rex recommended. âOr youâll be in for an awkward week.âÂ
Fives stood up, groaning and grumbling as he tried to get his thoughts in order before going off to find Lorten.Â
-----------------
He found her after a few minutes running through the rows of temporary barracks and repaired buildings.Â
âWait!â He called out. She turned, looking surprised to see him. He jogged up to her, taking a second to catch his breath and think of what exactly to say.Â
âChanged your mind?â she asked, and there was something almost like hope in her voice. Fives winced. Kark.Â
âUh- not exactly. JustâŚâ He straightened and looked her in the eye. âIt was...brought to my attention that you were, uh. Flirting. With me.â He tried not to cringe at himself, grateful none of his brothers were around to witness this. Smooth.
Lorten blinked. â...Yes?â
âRight. The thing is...Iâm flattered. Really I am! Iâm just- not exactly. UhâŚâ He buried his face in his hands with a groan. âKriff!âÂ
âFives? Are you alright?â she asked carefully, placing a gentle hand on his shoulder.Â
âIâm not interested in sex,â he blurted out. Well, that works. âOr...dating. With anyone. Itâs just...not my thing? SorryâŚâ He hesitantly looked up to meet her eyes again.
Lorten stared at him for a long moment before she burst into giggles.Â
âI thought you were just...really polite! Or were just really oblivious!â she said after a minute. âOh Force, Iâm so sorry, I hope I didnât make you uncomfortable!âÂ
âNo, no!â Fives replied, quickly. âI, uh- I was pretty oblivious. Didnât even realize it. Echo finally took pity on me and explained it.â He huffed out a laugh, shuffling his feet a little awkwardly. Wouldâve been nice of you to fill me in a little sooner, Eyâika.Â
They laughed together for a moment, the tension broken.Â
âAre- This is probably a stupid question, but are all of you ace?âÂ
Fives shook his head, smiling ruefully. âNo, not all of us. You could hit on most of them and get a much more...enthusiastic response than me. Most of âem will realize youâre flirting, too.â They shared rueful grins. âWe...we can be friends, instead,â he offered. âMost clones donât really have too many of those. Besides other clones, I mean.âÂ
Lorten smiled at him. âIâd like that, Fives.â She paused, her smile turning a little teasing. âIf weâre friends, will you actually call me by my name? Youâve been calling me maâam all day, no matter what I did!âÂ
Fives laughed with her. âI was trying to be respectful!â he protested, grinning. âBut yeah. I can do that...Raina?â She grinned and nodded, holding out a hand to him.Â
âFriends, then?â Fives took it without hesitation.Â
âFriends.â They shook hands solemnly. Raina grinned a little viciously.Â
âNow. As your friend, would you like a little help getting back at your brothers for leaving you to flounder all day? I noticed them staring.âÂ
Fives blinked at her, an evil grin of his own curling up to match.Â
âNow that is something I can get behind!âÂ
This would be the start of a beautiful friendship, indeed.
--------------------------------------
I hate writing flirting with a burning passion. Iâm too ace for this shit.Â
{Mando'a Translations}

Fives didnât even remember how they ended up in this situation, but he didnât exactly care at the moment.
He shifted ever so slightly, and felt the rubble trapping him and General Ti shift in response. OsikâŚ
âFives, while appreciate the gesture, you really shouldnât have tried to cover me. I couldâve easily moved the debris with the Force.â The Togruta said quietly.
Fives raised his eyebrows, unable to resist being sassy. âOh really? Is that why your arm is in a sling?â
Shaakâs face went blank for a second before her lips spread into a smile and she laughed softly, âTouchĂŠ Fives.â
Fives grinned, though he was well aware that if he leaned forward even slightly, his lips would meet hers and that would not be good. His position wasnât exactly comfortable, but he certainly wouldnât rewind time to not be in it. Shaak had been being tended to by a medic when a stray shell had clipped a building and sent rubble careening down towards them. The medic had managed to move out of the way quick enough, but there was no way Shaak could. So Fives moved, really moved to throw himself over her. He totally did not enjoy the way she curled into his chest as the debris came crashing down. But, this left them in their current predicament. Shaak was laying on her back, looking up Fives, who was knelt with his left knee between her legs and right knee bent, holding him up with his boot on her left side. His torso and head were leant over her, so they were eye to eye, and his helmet had been knocked off earlier in the battle. He wouldâve moved, because he knew the rubble wouldnât collapse on them, but there wasnât exactly any more space.
âGeneââ
âShaak.â
Fivesâ mouth opened and closed a few times as he processed that she had just told him to call her by her name. Then he finally managed to speak, âShaak, frankly, even if you couldâve moved the rubble with the kriffinâ Force, I still wouldâve done it.â
âI know.â The Togruta smiled softly, laying a hand on his cuirass.
âI.. you do?â Fives furrowed his brows.
Shaak giggled, and Fives took immense pleasure in the fact that he caused that. âYour thoughts arenât exactly quiet.â
Fivesâ heart dropped when he heard that. âIâm sorry General, I apoloââ
âFives.â Shaak tried.
ââgize. I shouldnât think like that and I apologize for accidentally forcââ
âFives.â
ââing those thoughts on you. I didnât even thiââ
âFives!â
The ARC blinked. âI.. huh?â
The Jedi lifted her hand from his chest to his cheek, making Fives shudder. Her hand was slightly warmer than the average sentientâs, and Fives found the sensation amazing. He raised one hand to lay on hers, exhaling softly.
âFives⌠I donât mind.â
And then she leaned up and kissed him. Fives almost melted. He responded in kind, enjoying the soft feel of her lips against his own. Electricity shot down his spine and Fives shivered, then pulled back, resting their foreheads together. Shaak, knowing exactly what it meant to the clones, felt her montralâs darken.
âYou have no ideaâŚ.â Fives began.
â....how long Iâve wanted to do that.â Shaak finished with a smile.
Fives chuckled softly. âNo. I really donât. I want to though.â
Shaak caressed his cheek, âThen you will.â And then she kissed him again.
Eventually they were rescued, and no one was any the wiser about why the two were frequently found comming each other. Nor why they were always found near each other when on the same assignment.
And neither of them knew it, but ever since that day, their colors were always brighter in the Force.
Fives week day 2. these are just a few headcaons I have for Fives and his brothers. This is my first time posting headcanons, so I hope itâs okay. @painkiller80
After Fives lost Echo at the Citadel, ARC Trooper Blitz takes Fives in because he knows how it feels to lose a close brother. Fives also becomes friends with Jester who is also an ARC Trooper and who served under Commander Cody and Captain Rex at the battle of Christophsis.Â
After Umabara Fives becomes friends with Tup. Tup has nightmares and Fives comforts him. (everyone thinks Tupâs nightmares are due to Umbara but itâs actually due to his malfunctioning chip)Â
When the Clones are on shore leave you can find Fives with Tup, Jesse, and Kix at 79â˛s causing all sorts of trouble.Â
Fives and Jesse team up occasionally to prank people. They tried to prank Kix once, but he got them back so good that it was not to be spoken of and they left him alone.Â
Rex is Fives oriâvod (big brother), but sometimes itâs Fives who is the one to comfort Rex and help him move on from whatever has happened. like when their little sister Ahsoka left.Â
If Fives is assigned on a mission that isnât with the 501st beware when he gets back because âWho wants a hug?!â Torrent company scatters when Fives walks in (not that they mind hugs, they just think itâs fun to tease Fives) and Fives chases them down. itâs usually one of the younger more unsuspecting clones, like Sterling, that gets a tackle hug from Fives.
Fives love his brothers, they are his family, his reason for fighting and he would defend them to his last breath.
