from what Iāve seen, yes! most people havenāt even jumped over to TS3 yet, I saw new outfits for TS2 as early as late last year, hahaha
the ts2 modding community isnt as active as it used to be, but its still kicking. any game that has that kind of history will Ā be hard to uproot
im just wondering if i should invest in ts3 or ts4. mostly, my game experience revolves around making intricate characters (like, spending hours to perfect a face. no joke) and building houses, and not so much actually... simming
ts2 has a lot of limitations in face the department (making heavy modding absolutely crucial to do anything at all). i played ts3 for a little while (as much as my computer could handle) and i noticed that in their quest to smooth out the characters, maxis eliminated all angles from the model. they had chronic butterface, an inability to cast hard shadows, resulting in a putty like texture to all features
i understand ts4 aimed to completely redo the CAS, but i havent been able to play it. screenshots of ts4 sims tells me they solved the butterface problem though, which is what has my interest
