David Stewarts image of five girls around a table has took my interest as it shows the insight on how the women seem to be round one another. David Steward stated that the girls brought their own food and sat round the table in the order they seemed to want. None of it was staged, it was how they were. Which I like about this photo as it’s in an natural environment. The photography shows the women with dull faces, and what seems as the women aren’t as close, they have tension - which I like how the photo captured that atmosphere. The picture shows the women with different yet similar styles like: hair colour, hair styles and clothes. However, even though they look like they fit in with one another with fashion sense and how a normal looking group of women appear, the women are now distanced as they have grown. I like this as it suggests that as we grow, we distance ourselves from what used to be important to us and youth has a different meaning. The image captures the change in society and how age can change the way we think about one another and how we move on in life, building a new path - even though society thinks we should fit in and look like one another in a certain way. I overall find this image inspiration as it shows that even though some share the same taste of fashion or were close childhood friends, life is all about changes. Either we like it or not, which is captured in this image of five girls.
