The best part of work today was shelving some Sherlock Holmes x OC fanfiction.
Some person legit wrote a self-insert called Mary Russell who has all kinds of quirky abilities like knitting or lockpicking and can speak 6 languages and she meets the characters and eventually marries Sherlock and they live in a quiet country home together and occasionally solve crimes in tandem
I held it in my own very hands in hardback
To all the OC x canon makers out there: we can make it, nothing is impossible
