Alison Blickle’s “The Three Fates” at Five Car Garage.

Currently on view at Five Car Garage Gallery in Los Angeles, California is artist Alison Blickle’s incredible new exhibition, “The Three Fates.”

Following her last exhibition “The Myth of Inanna” at Kravets Wehby in New York, where the artist’s heroines descended and emerged from the underworld wiser and more resilient. Blickle continues her exploration in mythology as it pertains to women and their archetypal roles in society.  Exploring in paint and symbolic imagery, how these lores resonate now, at a moment where society is hyper focussed on the balance of patriarchal and matriarchal power and influence.

The exhibition is on view until July 31st, 2019 and should be sought out if you’re in the area!

Alison Blickle’s “Supermoon” at Five Car Garage.

Alison Blickle’s sensational solo exhibition of new work entitled “Supermoon,” is currently on view at Los Angeles, California’s Five Car Garage Gallery.

Presented as a site specific installation, objects, vessels and instruments, are stationed purposefully around the floor and on altar-like stands in front of opulent paintings. The works combine together to unlock a sequence of movements and events, immediately situating the viewer/participant into Blickle’s symbolic all female universe.

Blickle’s work for this exhibition is some of the best I’ve seen this past year and should absolutely be sought out if in the area.  It will be on display until December 31st, 2017.
