After leaving Micha’s, she’d made a guard walk her to her room and inspect it before quickly grabbing a summer dress and leaving again, and she changed quickly into that after hurrying August into the other room, despite a few protests. Thirty minutes later, she was done with most of her plan. August’s room was decorated with lights much like the gardens, and some hanging lanterns, one that she’d seen in the books she’d read about Corona. They were for a special festival and had taken forever to figure out, but she’d managed. The couch had been moved and the table was set with food Stella had cooked and somehow managed to not burn. Checking to make sure everything looked perfect, she dimmed the lights low before walking into get August. “You have to trust me,” she laughed, covering his eyes with her hands and walking him into the other room. “Ready?
