the “plot” of fitaly ends around 1535ish when lucia is 35/36. I never think about what happens to her and what she does after she disappears because I think it makes the ending less compelling to have a concrete answer, but she is at least Alive. so here are some sketches including older lucia long after the events of fitaly have passed <3

17. What are some of your OC's coping mechanisms during stressful or overwhelming periods in their life?
Lucia picks and bites at her fingernails and nailbeds — during especially stressful times to the point of bleeding. Andrea HATES this. He finds it extremely unflattering and unladylike and ugly and scolds her about it frequently, but it does not break the habit.
35. If your OC had to kill someone, how would they do it? If killing is a near-daily occurrence to them, what is their preferred method?
I think it would have to be a moment of panic. Lucia is not really one for violence and she would definitely prefer to flee if given the chance. She is a coward and will always avoid a confrontation if possible. The most she'd have access to and feel comfortable wielding is a knife, but she would not be able to do it with any precision. it would be a mess and she would be a mess about it
47. If your OC had to pick a new identity and skip town, what would they come up with? Where would they go?
this is essentially what she does with her son at the "end" of the narrative when she disappears from Andrea's household with their son lol.
I haven't settled on exactly where she ends up, but she'd likely remain somewhere else in the Lombard region, but she'd continue to identify herself as Lucia. She does change her son's name (to Bartolomeo; Andrea named him something else) but otherwise does not bother forging much else of her backstory and just reintegrates herself with lower class society so that she can keep a low profile. as you can imagine, record keeping was not quite as robust as it is today, especially in the case of women and peasants. She doesn't have a proper surname anyways. If it were any other time that required more effort and planning to truly disappear, I don't think she'd be able to pull it off.
