“Wait for it... BOOM.” I love my daughter.
I found another betta in one of the kinder classrooms, and this one ain’t looking so hot.
Can’t confirm how big that tank is, and there isn’t a heater I can see, but there is a filter (the thing is humming slightly when I touch it). There also is some plants, so I think the issue may be in the water itself and not the tank/environment. (I hope it’s not the tank/environment.)
Poor little dude looks like Ginsburg did in the bowl– torn up ragged very short fins, which either is comin from fin rot or him biting, and he’s got no real color…in any case, I’ve seen what healthy happy bettas look like, and he doesn’t match.
He did flare at me, so he’s not totally lethargic. Worst part is he’s owned by the weekday teacher, so all I can really do is keep an eye on him…
Idk if anyone remembers the fish at Temple I posted about; she used to be in a very empty bowl, with no heater or filter at all.
And today I saw a fish tank in our meeting room and she is there! This thing I think is at least either a 2.5 or 5g, and the bubble indicate a filter, and she has plants now! Not sure if there is a heater, but this is such an improvement.
She looks much much better than she did; much more blue! I’m very happy

Fishblr, I got a question.
Eventually I want to get a betta, and I know that they’re somewhat solitary (the males will fight each other) but I don’t want to have a fish by itself. (I think it’d get lonely.) The tank would be 5.5g, and later I’d upgrade to a 10g.
Would a snail or something be okay to have with a betta?
