There are no studies I could find about the statistics of proshippers talking to kids because psychologists and police don't know what a proshipper is, but from my many experiences with proshippers online, they have all interacted with me first. At 14-15 years old, up to 5-9 adult proshippers have interacted with me and tried getting me into proshipping and I've heard other stories from kids that are similar.

And to add to your "fiction doesn't groom people, people groom people"- I agree to an extent and I should've worded my rant better. People use fiction to normalize things to people. My groomer was constantly showing me proshipping and fetish stuff, grooming me into finding it normal.

Proshippers like to go behind terms like darkship and comship and when it doesn't work they just change the definition of proship to mean something that sounds less "I draw cp and incest" and more "this is a bit taboo, teehee".

So children with unlimited access to the internet are being groomed by either adults or other children who have also been groomed into drawing or romanticizing (or some other word that makes me seem smart) incest, rape, cp.

Also when I had friends who were proshippers who identified as comshippers they told me comshipping is "just big age differences" and worded it like it was 1000 year olds with 20 year olds, but they meant either literal babies dating adults or 1000 year olds who look like a baby that are dating adults. I have nothing against legal adults dating older people (or in this case, aliens/gods) because Rose Quartz and Greg from Steven Universe exist, but when it's a child or someone who looks like a child dating someone who looks like an adult, that's crossing a line.
