#fish stuff

Have I mentioned that we now have baby shrimp? Because we do. I’ve counted three so far. They aren’t even babies, more like juveniles, so looks like one mama shrimp had them a while ago.

Shrim!

Void gave me some more shrimp today as part of adding more plants (and four otos!), and, they all seem to be berried females. Oh boy.

Another one of my shrimp is berried. Original Mama Shrimp (red) has not yet had her eggs. I don’t like wild-type colouration, but that’s exciting. They’re doing well in my tank, cleaning plants and rocks.

how are the shrimp doing?

when I was growing up my dad maintained a big saltwater tank and random unexpected things would often show up in it! one time we had a weird like… little velvetty looking black/purple creature about the size and shape of a walnut. we had no idea where it came from OR where it went once we stopped seeing it swimming around lol. fish tanks are incredible.

While I’m waiting for shrimp babies in my tank…
