after the loss of the martin witches, it has been essential for elijah to find a worthy replacement quickly. the next full moon was coming up and the man he once called brother has already heard the news of the existence of another doppelgänger, hence not giving elijah much time to act. he didn't trust the intentions of the young bennett witch entirely as elena and her little friends have tried to fool him way too many times. no, elijah preferred to have his own witch who's going to help him kill niklaus.
as luck would have it, was it brought to his attention that there was another witch with apparently incredibly powers. powers that apparently exceeded the skills of the witches he had lost. of course, elijah was aware that he needed to act quickly to enlist her, knowing that his brother will leave nothing to chance.
that's why he found himself in an admittedly shabby bar. he remained at the entrance, his figure hidden in the shadow as he let his gaze wander over the guests. he had always been an excellent judge of character, which also included assessing of supernatural beings. nonetheless, he found himself astounded by the charisma the blonde woman seemed to radiate when he finally detected her. without a doubt, this was the witch he was looking for. the perfect choice for his plan.
elijah finally started moving and walked towards the blonde sitting on the bar, a small selection of peculiar colorful drinks in front of her.
"good evening", he made his presence known, a small smile on his lips. "my name is elijah. i was hoping we could have a little chat. is this seat taken?"

registering the look written there on Freya’s face he lets out a somewhat exasperated sigh. he had always felt like maybe he had been the hardest working person in their family until, of course, Freya had joined their unit. she was restless, relentless, and entirely at odds with the rest of the world. he regards her closely, measures the expression written there on her face - one of uncertainty and confusion. a grin marks his lips and he gestures to the door of his car with expectancy. “ Freya, darling sister, it is called a vacation and I have planned the tedious details with Hope - so please, calm your nerves and step in. one step in front of the other, that is how one walks away from work. “
sharp is the inhalation of breath ; eyes flash open as she reanimates . suddenly , she sits up from her position lying flat on the ground . for a moment , her memory is hazy . what exactly happened is beyond her reach ; something she cannot quite access . all she remembers is a grueling pain in her abdomen ; and BLOOD , so much blood . at even just the thought of it , an anomalous hunger hits her .
