Black people can get sunburned
So Im black Going in the sun I laugh at the peasants slathering on sunscreen while I enjoy my time in the sun Not this time I sunburned It didnt hurt but Im peeling and its so ratchet. Like they say dont peel or pick at it and Im like >_> *peel* Hey, first sunburn Im clueless a fuuck, I dont know what Im doing :) Guess Ill just slather my shoulders in coconut oil and lotion and go to bed Big day in the morning!

We survived the memorial service, then went to visit my husband's mother.
Foxboy spent all afternoon in the pool with his cousins, and despite being slathered in the sunscreen, burned deep red in the process. This is a shock since he NEVER burns - he's inherited my Italian and Jewish heritage olive toned skin over his father's pale Irish freckles for the most part. Apparently the afternoon sun and 103*F heat for two hours was the tipping point.
He's had pain pills, aloe vera cream and an oatmeal bath and he's still not a happy camper. I hope he is over it enough to attend his swimming classes tomorrow at least.
