Prompt 30 - First Overnight
@wolfstarmicrofic January 30, word count 286
Sirius and Remus had been cuddling in Remus’s bed. Sirius loved cuddling. Mostly he didn’t care who it was with, but he was now a firm believer that Remus gave the best hugs. It was something about his long arms and lean torso. Sirius just fit there perfectly.Â
They’d thought they had more time before Sirius needed to go back to his own bed, but it seemed they’d lost track of time and James and Peter were coming up to bed. Remus quickly blew out the candles beside them and plunged the dorm into darkness.Â
They lay very still, barely breathing as James and Peter shuffled around the dorm room making slightly less noise than a herd of erumpets. Sirius snuggled into Remus and waited for his best friends to go to sleep.Â
It might have been the warmth, it might have been the closeness or Remus’s calming scent, but Sirius found his eyes beginning to close. He couldn’t hear James’s deep breathing or Peter’s snores yet, so he couldn’t sneak out of Remus’s bed yet. His eyelids grew heavier and heavier until he just gave in to it and fell asleep.Â
He woke to the sound of birds singing in the morning sun. He and Remus were tangled together in sleep. He was basically suffocating Remus with how much of his body was on top of or touching Remus. He could quite easily have gone back to his own bed now he was awake. The others were still sleeping; he could hear them, but he just didn’t want to. He snuggled back into Remus’s shoulder, his nose pressed up against his neck and drifted back to sleep. He never wanted to move from here again.Â
