So typically I don't right about Phil, a boyfriend that I dated for awhile that passed away unexpectedly a year ago. I also don't talk much about feeling his presence in places either. However recently I've been feeling him all around in every thought I have. And this is one of my more funnier stories of him rather than emotional;

So recently, before my trek to Portland, I got a speeding ticket in Tucson (yeah fuck me right?), and I was totally cooperative with the sheriff and he docked me going ten over instead of how fast I was actually going.

I knew I could do driving school but I forgot my court date and when I remembered it was past the time I could do it. I wasn't too worried and knew I just had to bite the bullet and pay it, but upon paying it I couldn't do it online which I thought was weird. When I called the automated line, it also said that I owed zero dollars on my case.

TOTALLY weirded out but oddly excited I got a hold of the operator who looked into my case, and when she got back to be the court has dismissed the case because apparently the sheriff put the wrong name on the ticket of who was driving on his end. Trying to play cool and try not to have to pay, because indeed I was driver and indeed the car was mine, I asked who the name was.

And the name was my ex boyfriend from Canada, who FUN FACT kids has never been to America.

I have never laughed so hard in my life and after getting off the phone after getting off the hook of a speeding ticket I realized that Phil has got me out of all the trouble I've gotten into since his passing and this was to tell me "hey, this one's on Canadian Douche Bacon"
