Glynde is an attractive little village in the lea of Mount Caburn near Lewes in East Sussex. This picture postcard village is the home of Glynde Place, a magnificent Elizabethan Manor that has been the home of the Trevor family for over 300 years. Also in Glynde is Glyndebourne, a Tudor manor house that can lay claim to being the home of English opera. I got to visit this village in very changeable weather with a varying degree of lighting conditions. Some cloud cover with spells of sunshine allowed me to capture shadows on the patchwork of fields from Firle Beacon, a magnificent viewpoint of the Downs.
