Something was wrong here.

May couldn't be sure what it was, because Slateport looked right, but something was off about it, like she was stuck in some sort of horror movie, or something.

She frowned and put a hand on her head, trying to think. She remembered catching up to Hoopa and engaging in battle with it, and just as she'd thrown a ball, a bright light had -

Oh dammit, Hoopa had gotten the jump on her again. But why had it sent her to Slateport?

A hand drifted to the Pokeballs at her side, and sighed in relief. Her team had made it with her, which was good. Now she just had to find Hoopa and get home... again.

May was so deep in thought, she didn't realize she was about to crash into someone until it was too late.

"Oh! Sorry about that - Brendan?"

even before ruby finished words, archie dropped into sit upon sands. he folded legs, beckoning young trainer over with exaggerated gesture && bright grin. as soon as he settled, aqua leader raised hand to side of mouth, offering pseudo - whisper as if words were secret to other.

“  i gotta level with you, SCAMP. i don’t know dick about contests.  ” sure, he’d seen master rank contests, but that didn’t mean he had any idea what they were about. maybe one day he could convince someone to teach him.

wave of viciously corrupting rage departed just as quickly as it had arrived, pulled from ancient hoennian like aqua’s worshiped tides. breath, long since hitched in throat, spilled forth in wheeze before wystan sucked in lungful of air.
