Strikers for sale .

I have the following strikers ready to ship.

All have tungsten carbide strikers and all lanyards have fire-cord tinder in them

x2 Kryptek kydex  (Raid & Banshee) with scout style Swedish fire-steels , Cyflect Glint &Glow fronts and orange SOLAS reverse .

One hammer’d bronze (no lanyard /toggle firesteel shown but will include ) an up armoured steel one of a kind with central kirinight GITD core  and a proto ice striker in holstex with aqua glow core .

Solar Brother  Fire card .

French design and made bendable Fresnel lens fire-starter  ,unbreakable camp mirror and heliograph signalling device all combined .

As it was a very sunny day I decided to give the Solar Brother fire card from @alphabushcraft  a very quick test .

I gathered up some handy tinder’s both natural and man made and set about focusing the Fresnel lens (not so easy one handed whilst trying to shoot the pics ) . Tinder’s included a dead leaf , dry grass , some curled bark , jute cord and the red inner cord tinder from 550 fire-cord para-cord .

The fire-cord , jute cord and the dry grass definitely worked the best , the dried leaf next and lastly the bark  .

 For its proper test I will create a dedicated tinder bundle and a prepare a small fire for you all soon .

Pimped  MK2 Survival Spark .

 I’m not a huge fan of shiny things let alone shiny brass so thought I’d pimp up the longer mk2 version of the keyring sparkier kindly sent to me by the folks at survival depot http://www.survivaldepot.co.uk/product/brass_keyring_sparkier.

 I added a few areas of jimping with a diamond dremel tip before field stripping it ready for etching and brass black before it was stonewashed with the flint striker removed .

 The striker can then also be further pimped ready for emergency use by wrapping the length in either gutted 550 fire-cord or waxed jute / hemp cordage or brown hairy garden twine .
