Firefox videos being controlled by your windows media keys when you don't want them to?
about:config media.hardwaremediakeys.enabled set it to false. This will tell firefox to ignore your media key presses. ----- If you have media keys (Play/pause, etc) on your keyboard, and your keyboard is nothing special, Windows sends the media key inputs to everything audio/visual. So if you have a media player open and also youtube, the keys will control either both or whichever window is active. For me personally, I hate that. Windows doesn't allow you to customize your media keys anymore, and if you want actual customization you will need another program such as AutoHotkey. I just want my media keys to affect my media programs and not YouTube (or anything else in my browser). If you're like me, then tell firefox to ignore your media keys using about:config above.
