Another awesome day on the water. Absolutely beautiful weather for any month, especially December. 47 this morning to a high of 72. Fishing was a little slower with water temps rising 6 degrees from yesterday. We managed to catch a decent amount though. 57 trout and 16 reds today. And all but 5 fish on soft plastics. Mohammed em yesterday, and hammered out another great morning of trout fishing today. Just an insane bite. Limited out in the first hour and managed 54 total today which puts the two day total at almost 90! Stroked em to say the least. And, Christmas music is now playing on 102.5! Had a good trip today after a couple days off. Mike and his wife came down from NC because they saw me catching big bull reds with Mark Davis on @bigwateradventures. After 6 big bull bites, they said “can we go catch some we can eat?”. As y’all know, I don’t kill redfish. So we went inside to try and catch a few trout. We caught one trout. We coulda caught 30 or so giant reds if they had just toughed it out. They were chomping.
