Ace and his Girlfriend in a Haunted House
Ace is a guy who is big on adventure and new experiences, so when he hears word of a haunted island, or his girlfriend suggests going to a haunted castle she was told about, he will go in a heartbeat. He doesn’t need any convincing at all to go, and he’s going to be talking endlessly about all the fun things he and his girl will do once they get there.
Ace doesn’t really believe in ghosts, monsters, or hauntings in general really—and mostly wants to go just to have the experience of going. He’s going to go in with the mindset that because he doesn’t believe in these things, that whatever there is fake and therefore won’t scare him.
Ace also likes to boast that he isn’t easily startled (he grew up with Luffy, so he prides himself on being a bit more prepared for surprises), so he puts on a really brave face, and will do his best to assure his darling girlfriend that she’s safe in his hands.
They’ll be taking LOTS of breaks not only because of his narcolepsy but also because he needs snack breaks. (Ace will also just be eating random things like chips or a cookie as he’s walking)
The further they explore though, and the moment he begins to notice she’s feeling unsettled, he’ll try and reassure her, as well as try and see if she wants to move forward. Of course, nothing will hurt her or scare her while he’s around, but he doesn’t like seeing her feel uncomfortable.
Ace being a fearless person is pretty accurate to who he is throughout the experience of the Haunted House. He will get startled here and there if he’s not expecting a scare, but overall he is having a TON of fun laughing and messing around with any sort of spooky things that may pop out at him.
He even will try and comfort his girlfriend this way too; standing by anything scary to prove it won’t hurt him, pointing out any imperfections on them to show that they’re not as scary as they seem. Ace is just VERY encouraging and will do his best to make sure they’re both having a fun time together.
