Even now, after so long as Yang’s partner, Blake wasn’t quite used to her saying such things.  A soft blush touched at her cheeks, and she shook her head. “You’re a hopeless romantic,” she teased, leaning her weight on the blonde.  Once there, she gave her a gentle kiss to the cheek. “Good thing I am, too.”

     “Now before you tell me that I didn’t call, I couldn’t exactly do that since Beacon Tower is still down and I did try, it just wouldn’t go through.” Weiss stopped a few steps behind Yang, she’d recognize those blonde locks anywhere. She smiled at the taller huntress. “But it’s good to see you back on your feet again, Yang.”

           “Whoa.” Oops. The exclamation slipped out before Cardin had time to think, not that he’d stop himself anyways. He hadn’t seen Yang since the fall of Beacon, and was surprised by the prosthetic arm. “Dude-- Haven’t seen th-you in awhile.”

              “How is your new arm, Yang? Not troublesome, I hope?”

✿     The small kitchen was open but quiet. Ren had always been fond of     spending his free time there. It was a nice way to be able to just cook     without interruption. So long as Nora was training on her own he was     free to make whatever he liked. He sang softly to himself in his native     tongue, moving about and chopping vegetables quickly. When he heard     someone come into the room he stopped his singing and tensed just a     little, looking back to see who it was. “Ah, hello Yang.” He set down     the knife he was using, wiping his hands on his apron. “What brings     you here?”
