God, why did her heart jump at his voice? Had she missed him that much? Her name sounded like a ballad on his lips, like a cruel knife which dug deeper into her burned heart that had waited for her name in that voice. But at least it was him. Ace’s voice made even death by drowning sound poetic to her.

i just want to sit and cry I feel so awful from all this constant smoke and hazardous air for almost a week straight now. Constant headache, sore throat, so so tired and fatigued and serious brain fog I can’t focus on anything. And there’s no where to go to get a breath of fresh air. I just want it to be over please
All I want to do is go water my plants and see if they’re okay but I can’t go outside because of the smoke (that’s smoke not fog 😐)

I'm really missing my puppy lately, and I know I still have my cat but I just can't help but think about how young she was and how we thought we had so many years together...sometimes DH and I look at her painting over the mantle and just cry together, she was only one year old and she just loved us so much...I would give anything to be able to snuggle her one more time. Sometimes I snuggle the kitty and give her extra kisses (despite her protests) because my puppy just loved her so much, and I don't want her to miss out on that love she should be getting daily.
Sorry for the debbie downer post but I really just wanted to emphasize that you should love your fur/scale babies a little bit extra every day...you never know what will happen.
