Was too tired to make a post lastnight thanking @firexfvalisthea, @fire-branded, and @pocketfulofgalaxies for helping me get to floor 50 of the Palace of the Dead after idk how many years.

Thank you lovely friends (and new friend)! Now I can try to level up in Heaven on High<3

A sigh escaped him at the suggestion, his arms resting heavily on his knees as he hunched over from the thought. The idea of Rosaria being left in the annals of history irked him more than he thought to admit, but clearly his Father had seen that written across his face as their conversation turned to what was once their home. Mismanagement by the Sanbreque, by his mother, had left his once great duchy in ruin. The people were hardly cared for, and Rosalith was a closed fortress to those whom weren't already within her walls. Black Shields stalked the roadside, making a mockery of their namesakes, and yet it seemed too far gone to truly help.

It still feels strange to be in his father's presence after all this time, especially given the fact that Joshua pretty much saw him getting killed before his eyes. At least that's what he thought. But to see him again... it's comforting. Sometimes he still feels like the little boy from Rosalith again, from before Phoenix Gate. But of course it's stupid. Things have changed, and nothing will come back like it previously was. But to be reunited with the ones he loves... It means so much for Joshua. It makes up for all these years in which he could barely exist as Joshua.

One minute Nova been walking, heading out, trying to find a quiet place to look through the notes she took within the worn, brown leather notebook she carried. Although she could place it in position by her hip where straps lay, meant for the notebook to go into, she didn't. Perhaps too much effort to lock it in place and, in a few minutes, she could take it out. Perhaps she wanted to look at the notes she took while moving forward, careful to watch where she is going.

HUG receiver hugs sender for the first time

Joshua was still a child when his father was killed right in front of him. He had seen it with his own eyes and he could never remember how his father's own blood had splattered all over him, killed by traitors of the kingdom while the manor was also burning and crumbling and everybody was either running for their lives, fighting for their lives, or fighting for Rosaria.

This couldn't be for real. This figure embracing him couldn't be his father, yet the feeling felt warm and nostalgic. He wasn't sure what to believe right now. Sure he always thought of his father and missed him very dearly, and he wished he could go back in time and save his father from his death, but despite how he wished this was all real, deep down he knew it would be best to never disturb the dead.
