Clarity || Finnifer
Why couldn’t Cassius or her father just apparate to the village, or close to the village? The train rides were always painfully long. The scenery was all the same. Staring at it only made her stomach hurt. She had a little case of motion sickness, hence why she always had upset stomachs after quidditch matches. Eventually Jen forced herself to sleep and was only awoken when the train came to an abrupt stop. Her trunk on the shelf above, which wasn’t as secure as she could have made it, came tumbling down. “Dammit,” She sighed. Leaving it where it was, knowing someone would put it in her dorm for her after she unboarded. Stepping off of the platform, she brushed flat the skirt her mother had forced her into wearing. You have to look presentable on your first day back. Jen pulled the coat closer to her body. She was thankful her mum had made her wear tights, too, or else her bare legs would have been absolutely frozen. A man off to the side asked if she wanted to walk back to Hogwarts or fetch a carriage. She opted for carriage because her white flat would have sunken into the slushy like snow and given her feet a nasty case of frostbite.
She stepped into the carriage, almost slipping on the wet rail. She had rotten luck today and that made her absolutely nervous. What was next? Was she going to trip while walking up a flight up stairs, possibly break a bone? The thought of seeing Finn again, though, after this long week apart made her heart beat pick up. She was anxious to see his face and his green eyes again. The carriage stopped and she stepped out, taking the final strides towards the Entrance Hall. As she strolled in, she wrapped her arms around herself, embarrassed by what she was wearing. Her eyes searched for Finn and they landed on him after darting around a few times. With the smile on her face growing, she quickly walked towards him, throwing her arms around his neck and holding on for dear life. Jen breathed in his sweet scent, the same one she could have sworn tickled her nostrils when she was studying amortentia in Potions. “Do you want to walk?” She asked, pulling away. They had some things to talk about. Not too much since they’d kept each other up to date in their daily owls. Jen had a secret of her own she was excited to spill, but she would hold off until they figured out what they need to. First things first -- what were they?
