Finley didn’t know if it was terrible that she was comfortable around Alex but she was. She also couldn’t help but tease him a bit. “You know, I made coffee but hid anything that’d make it Irish.” Meaning she hid all of the whiskey in her place from him. She never thought she’d end up with a man that was so similar to her father. Hardened by the world he had to endure but yet the single father she found herself taken with well... there was something there that she felt was worth putting up through all of the crap for. “You know if you feel like leaving your desk and coming on a road trip with me you can join me to go pick up some dogs in Louisiana that are being adopted up here.” Finley knew it was a long shot that he’d agree to such a trip but still she extended the offer and knew she’d ask Jake from work to come with her if Alex didn’t want to play with cute puppies and take a few days to just get the hell out of the city with her.
