"Come here you big idiot." Freddy huffed outwardly in a frustrated manner at the dog running circles in his living room, changing course every time he got remotely close to stopping him he zagged a different direction. If he had known better he wouldn't have agreed to adopt a dog as a form of therapy, let alone one that was nearly his size and still a young doofus. The rather broad boned boulder of a dog barreled into him and knocked the blonde off his feet, straight onto the carpeted floors before taking off again. If that's how Boyd was going to be then he would leave him to run out his energy, he didn't want to bust his ass falling again. Fredrick picked himself up from the floor and waved off the idea of chasing him physically, his hand lazily waving in the dogs direction before he walked toward his front door. If he couldn't run with the rottweiler then he just needed to go to the gym.
His anxiety had never been bad enough to keep him from doing things he wanted to do, but once he came back a changed man he couldn't handle being in crowds or loud noises, the gym was certain to be full of both. That's why he had intentionally avoided it for the last two months he had been home. Mostly he just sat on his porch and drank sun tea, happy to be back and out of the hot desert. Freddy left the house, locking his door, and approached his truck. The old beat up bucket was better than nothing, and ran like new, but needed a new coat of paint and some bondo, which was nothing for the newly licensed mechanic. While enlisted he had learned how to operate himself around vehicles, repairing and making the better than they were before. It was no feat to fix the old Chevy.
Before long he was at the gym, carrying a light bag of water and fresh clothes with him to change into. Fred entered the building with his eyes down, shoulders straight, and his back in perfect posture. He couldn't do anything but walk like that, the way he had been conditioned. Of course he knew where the machinery was, he had seen it loads of times when he came to lift in the early mornings, but normally his overexcited dog wanted a good run during the day. He set his small bag in front of the treadmill and plucked his water from inside, guiding it into the cup holder instead. If he wanted to have the best reaction to his illness then he needed to be healthy, he needed to have a strong mind that could make sense of the triggers around him. Distractions made that possible. He stepped into the belt and started off with a walk, stretching out his legs a bit before he turned it up into a light jog.

Nolan was currently working out with the boy, Sampson loved âhelpingâ or rather sitting on his back and riding Nolan like he was a horse. Honestly, Nolan loved hanging out with Sampson and Aylin. Nolan turned his head to his girl and smirked. âDo you want a ride to Aylin?â He teased coyly as he felt Sampsonâs hands in his hair he chuckled as he playfully wrestled the boy off of his back. Nolan was always careful even though he often enjoyed guying around with the little boy. âAlright Sam, I think weâve worked out enough, lets see those muscles.â He showed the boy how to flex and he chuckled at the boys skinny arms. âLooking good..â He teased.

The end of their marriage wasnât something that Cooper expected, yet as the days went on, their marriage crumbled, no matter how many times they tried to work on it. So when she asked for a divorce, Cooper didnât want to fight it anymore, he never wanted to make this harder on her, so he was going to do what she asked. Yet, there was a loud knock on his door that changed everything. Moving into an apartment since they had left each other, Cooper got up from his couch, going to open the door to see his wife, ex-wife, what did he call her now. âHey, um, whatâs going on?â He asked as he left the door open for her to come in. Which he soon saw her hand clutching something. âIs that a pregnancy test?â Realization soon hit him after asking the question. âAre you pregnant?!â
Finley didnât know if it was terrible that she was comfortable around Alex but she was. She also couldnât help but tease him a bit. âYou know, I made coffee but hid anything thatâd make it Irish.â Meaning she hid all of the whiskey in her place from him. She never thought sheâd end up with a man that was so similar to her father. Hardened by the world he had to endure but yet the single father she found herself taken with well... there was something there that she felt was worth putting up through all of the crap for. âYou know if you feel like leaving your desk and coming on a road trip with me you can join me to go pick up some dogs in Louisiana that are being adopted up here.â Finley knew it was a long shot that heâd agree to such a trip but still she extended the offer and knew sheâd ask Jake from work to come with her if Alex didnât want to play with cute puppies and take a few days to just get the hell out of the city with her.

Nothing was out of pattern, she was helping those who needed it and turning away the ones she knew were guilty, but she hit a brick wall with the company calling her in. What was it they said they were being accused of again? She'd have to make sure to be blatant in asking, and not let them think she would roll over and show her belly for a sum of cash. Samantha wasn't in it for the money, she still lived in a small apartment on an iffy side of town with neighbors who would quite literally kill for her. That was where she felt like home, surrounded by the ones who needed her most and especially on a pro bono basis. This wouldn't be pro bono, not this time. She knew all too well that the one calling her had the ability to afford her help, much different from her usual clientele, and she wasn't going to take the job without enough to make her rent. It was becoming hard to financially support herself, giving out free work like it was Halloween candy, but she wouldn't take money from the people who needed it within her community.
Sam only knew that his office seemed nice enough, trusted to find her own way to the space. Sitting in the chair across from where she imagined he sat, though his office looked a bit more relaxed than that of a much older man, she could see he was put together. Her brown eyes scanned the desk, humored by the way things were neat but also all too telling in what order he used them. Of course she was getting a feel of who Anthony Greyson was, an unbiased version without his presence to distract her with whatever problems he was having. Her legs crossed in her pencil skirt and she leaned back into the chair, journal before her so she could jot down notes. So far he wasn't the kind of person she would typically represent or advise, and most corporate men were not persecuted wrongly. Only time would tell, and of course so would he.

Elena knew that the relationship she once had with them was long gone, especially when they were locked away, but when she heard they were getting out, there was something that compelled her to go there. She had also heard that their family wasnât able to be there, so she wanted a familiar face for them once they got out.
So as she stood outside the gates, swaying slightly before she saw the familiar face. A smile coming across her features, Elena gave a small wave. âHey stranger.â She said with a small laugh as she gave them a hug. âI thought you might not want to walk back home. And see someone you know.â
