Finn reached out and caught Kaylee’s hand before she got up. “Hey...” For a brief moment their relationship flashed through his mind. The flirting, watching her skill while she fought, immediately trying to impress her enough that she might consider going on a date with him, the sex in they’d have in the locker room, every single thing that had led them to now. Finn had always had difficulty expressing that he loved someone, but his actions had always spoken so much louder. When the time was right, he would be able to say the words, but commitment had never come easy for him. Not unless it was with the right person, and Kaylee felt like the right person. “Where are you going? I wanted to keep you here with me just a little longer, can’t we just talk, or something?”

It was the last day of the month and anyone working in finance could tell you that this meant it was the busiest day of the month. However, Nate had taken extra care to make sure he’d wrapped up and triple checked all the numbers by noon so that he could fly out to surprise Danny for her birthday. Halloween always ramped up his anxiety, so he’d made sure that everything he planned for her was just going to be the two of them- well, and Cosmo, of course. The trip was short and restful and he stopped at his place in town to sort out the packages for her that were delivered there before loading the presents into his SUV and driving to her place.

After Nate parked he looked around to make sure the coast was clear before he covered the entry to her door in paper lanterns, glittering streamers, and placed a massive wrapped box in the doorway. His heart raced as he double checked it to make sure that it was ready to be opened. Balloons were secured to the interior base of the massive box, each one with a picture of their times together or a poem or quote it. When Danny would open it they would lift up and fill the space without floating away and a card would hang on the larges ballon in the center wishing her a happy birthday with a plane ticket to a vacation a few months down the road in Anguilla. With a quick tap on the door, he slipped just out of sight with Cosmo on his heels and his arms full of two dozen coral, red, and orange roses; waiting to jump out and surprise her.

Ajda was walking around the flat with her headphones in. She was fairly certain her room mate was not home, and therefore after having gotten back from the gym, had been quick to disregards pretty much all off her clothes, except her work out bra and shorts. She grabbed a smoothie from the fridge, sipping off it while jamming to the tunes playing as she went to reach for the door to the bathroom. Pushing it open, walking in backwards and placing the container of her drink on the sink and curling her fingers around the hem of her bra as she slowly turned around only to spot the other in the room, letting her eyes glance over their named body, “Ah shit!” She sweared, grabbing a towel to cover herself up quickly, removing one of the earphones from her ear, “Sorry, I didn’t think you were home..”

Miles had managed to find his grove in Spain. It was a friday afternoon, and he had found a  group of boys a few blocks down to share some beers and play cards with. He didn’t know he could feel relaxed but he was, and he enjoyed the fact that he didn’t have to deal with the bullshit of back home anymore. He missed the thrill of fighting though, he longed to just whoop someone’s ass for the pure sport of it. He had taken up a job working at a shop just a few hours a week to keep his mind occupied but he watched Kaylee walk down the street towards him, and he licked his lips. He had to admit she had been looking damn good lately. Excusing himself from the boys he finished his beer off, and then walked over to his girlfriend. “Hey sexy thing, can I take you away from your boyfriend?” Miles teased a bit.
