Moving away from Soldier’s Field, right into the abuse and exploitation of workers in Finkon Docks/Finkton. Am a lot less jumpy now that we’re away from the creepy museum (hurray!)
Am also really invested in the voxophones recordings - it’s incredible how thoroughly the background context/societal environments are developed through these tiny voice-clips, which also shed some light on the personalities of some of the key characters within this game. Coupled with the kinetoscope propaganda and the Prophecy, the game paints a backdrop that highlights racial discrimination/prejudice and distinctions between upper/working/lower class within the white man’s utopia.
Needless to say, fighting aside, I’m extremely fussy about searching every nook and cranny for these voxophone/kinetoscope items. Elizabeth is still a tad naive imo, but I suppose that could easily be attributed to her upbringing.
