Something sweet and silly I wrote last night based on a fun conversation with @lollypopunicorn14. 605 words of Zook being his usual golden retriever self:
Zook was having the best Spring Break *ever*.
He and Luke and a few of their friends rented an AirBnB together in Puerto Vallarta. After a fun day on the beach, they headed to the Zona Romantica to check out the gay-friendly nightlife.
And *wow*, was it friendly.
Luke was attracting a lot of attention, of course. Why wouldn't he? He was looking so cute and hot, as always. The bartenders were quick to serve him first — Zook overheard their excited chatter as he sat at the bar with Luke and drank his second cocktail of the night.
“Bro, the bartender thinks you’re a ten out of ten,” he said to Luke with a smile.
Luke frowned a little in confusion. “You caught all that? I didn't know you spoke Spanish.”
“They were speaking Spanish?”
Luke gave him a fond look, then polished off his beer. “I'm going to the restroom, I’ll be right back.”
He kissed Zook on the cheek before he left, although he could have done a lot more. No one was looking twice at PDA here.
“Hey there, handsome," said a voice out of nowhere. Some guy with killer abs and dark, slicked-back hair. “Is this seat taken?”
“Yeah, by my boyfriend." Zook patted the barstool on the other side of him. “But you can sit here if you want, this one's free!”
The guy smiled and joined him.

Luke wasn't gone long, but it was enough time for Zook to get to know this guy — Owen — a little better. He seemed pretty nice! A little flirty, but he knew that Zook had a boyfriend, so Zook figured that it was just his personality.
Zook had also mentioned that he was bisexual, but that was because it came up naturally in the conversation. Owen reassured him that he was still more than welcome at a gay bar.
Suddenly, Luke was back from the restroom, an arm wrapping around Zook as he reclaimed his seat.
“Oh, is this the boyfriend?” Owen peered around Zook to smile at him appreciatively. "You're just as cute as Zook said you were.”
Luke made a very not friendly face.
“Yeah, this is Luke,” Zook said quickly, sensing the tension. “Luke, this is Owen, he's been to Puerto Vallarta a bunch of times. He was telling me about some cool clubs around here.”
Luke’s voice could have shot daggers. “I’ll bet he was.”
“Relax,” said Owen, lifting a hand at both of them. “I’m not trying to steal anyone's man. But if you’d like someone to party with…?”
Wait, was this guy suggesting a threesome? “Dude, I told you that I’m bisexual, not... what’s it called again, babe?”
“Poly,” Luke replied, dagger voice still directed at Owen.
“Yeah, poly. Bisexual doesn't mean that I want to do it with two people.”
Owen blinked at him. “I didn't think —“
“So, like, if you're just looking to hook up with someone, then I think you need to move on.”
Owen sighed and left his seat at the bar, slinking away.
“Sorry if he made you uncomfortable, babe.” Zook turned towards his boyfriend. “I didn't know he was gonna say any of that.”
Luke was looking at him with stars in his eyes. He leaned in and kissed him, on the mouth this time, slow and tender, earning a playful wolf whistle from one of the bartenders.
“Just the price I have to pay to be with the hottest, sweetest, most beautiful guy in Puerto Vallarta,” he said after they parted.
Zook beamed at him, cheeks warm from the praise. “I was thinking the same thing.”

Haha! I do think he's the type to have some sort of fitness tracker on him when he works out. Maybe he forgot to take it off when he meets up with Luke after practice. I was just thinking about jealousy/possessiveness and finalsunshine, because at some point these two will both be 21 and able to go to bars and clubs legally, and I think Zook would very much like to take Luke to a gay club. 😊 Zook would not be jealous or possessive, he wants Luke to have fun and make friends! HOWEVER, if he picks up on Luke being uncomfortable AT ALL (maybe some guy gets too creepy or intimidating), Zook would step in immediately. "Is he bothering you, babe? Let's go somewhere else. 😤"
Luke, on the other hand...
To be clear, Luke would not be *jealous*, he trusts Zook 100%. Unless if Brad somehow reappeared and professed his love or something lol. But he also knows that Zook can be completely clueless when it comes to being flirted with, so he will absolutely be putting his arm around his man and death-glaring at any other gay man who is getting too familiar. 😡
It's a little different when it comes to women, Luke can't help but be a little insecure about that, knowing that Zook is attracted to women, too. Sometimes a woman will hit on him at a party, but the second Luke walks over, Zook is introducing him as "my boyfriend! 🥰🥰🥰" and the woman backs off immediately. 😂
