[ Sephirothās a bit weird with physical gestures. He keeps people at an emotional distance so much that youād assume heād do the same physically, in some ways he does, but he was also somewhat trained out of having any sense of personal space by Shinra, being subject to routine physical examinations his whole life. He tries to be aware of personal boundaries, but the lines look blurry to him, so in general he tries to stick to certain gestures he knows will work--a handshake or hand clapped on the shoulder mostly. Heās secretly a huge snugglebug though, the more he likes someone, the more heāll start intruding in their personal space without realizing.
The greatest sign of trust though is when he lets someone touch his hair. Thatās holy ground, right there. Ā ]
[ You know that youāre among the few people Sephiroth actually trusts when he stops being polite to you. Generally he has trouble really talking to people, so he has a sort of default persona he adopts to be able to deal with them--polite, somewhat aloof, commanding, professional. Itās less a reflection of his actual personality than it is a shield that lets him function as a public authority figure.
As a result most people donāt realize just how sarcastic or stubborn and difficult he can be. When you start seeing Sassiroth at his worst--thatās when you know that to him you arenāt just āpeople I have to deal withā anymore. ]
[ It somewhat depends on the situation--heās perfectly capable of acting calm and friendly around those he dislikes, especially if it involves work, or of looking like Death himself coming for you--but one thing that remains a common denominator is that heās well aware that his eyes can be disconcerting, and he will turn all the coldness heās got on anyone who heās unhappy to see in front of him. ]
