NINE PERECENT reactions to their names being called // IDOL PRODUCER FIN...
X-Factor Rambling (Final Nine)
Okay, no person by person break down this week, for one reason... Almost everyone did a really good job tonight. Have to applaud the show for letting them pick songs to perform for a special person in their life they were thankful to. Really nice touch. So, in lieu of examining each performance, I'll just say who I think should go home and why, and who impressed me most.
First off... Chris Rene. The last few weeks have been so much better for him, I was really starting to enjoy it, but tonight... A bunch of steps backwards. First he butchers a Beatles classic, the legendary 'Let It Be', and then he phases into his original song he did at the beginning of X-Factor. A choice, for me, that was rather cheap. No offense meant, but I think it's over... Chris is one of my bottom two.
The other? Lakoda Rayne. Again. Why they're still here is a mystery even Sherlock Holmes would struggle with. Tonight they murdered a Taylor Swift hit, 'You Belong With Me', something I take particularly personal being a big Swift fan. It's long been time for you to go, girls. Goodbye. (Sorry Paula.)
Actually, can we vote a judge off the show too? If so, I vote L.A. Reid off. He's pushed Simon too far, and he's pushed me too far as well. I'm tired of his attitude. He says Drew's the same every week? And yet Astro raps every week. He says Drew doesn't do age appropriate songs? And yet Astro covered a song by a 35 year old a couple songs back. Whatever, man.
Oh, and I thought Marcus and Astro were underwhelming, Marcus due to missed notes and scrambled runs, Astro due to his song being a commercial to get people to vote for him. :P
Okay... HIGHLIGHT TIME.
Top highlight for me was Simon telling off L.A. lol I loved it. Beautiful moment, there.
Another highlight was the truly deep and touching performances by LeRoy Bell and Josh Krajcik. Way to go guys.
Rachel and Melanie were both amazing, and truly deserve to stay in the competition. Melanie's semi-breakdown proved how much it meant to her, and her love of God was amazing to see. :)
Drew... Wow. She absolutely took it to a new level. A brilliant song choice (by a YOUNG singer) that she ran with and made her own. She showed why she belongs on this show, and why she has a real shot at winning. L.A. Reid can say what he wants, but we know he just wants his 5 million going to one of his boys. He better watch his back, though, 'cause Simon's ticked.
And... Yeah, I think that's it. It's still too long, isn't it? lol Sorry. Oh well. Those are my thoughts. God Bless.
