The first half of my video had a scene where the model is by Rochester castle and is blowing leaves towards the camera, to set the autumn theme. When it came to editing this shot up, I wanted to create a slow-mo of the leaves blowing into the camera. Doing this, I right clicked on the part of the video I wanted to edit, clicked onto ‘speed/duration’, and changed the speed from 100% (normal speed) to 50% (half the speed). After the slow mo shot, I wanted to do a reverse shot of the leaves blowing from the camera back to the model. To be able to achieve this, I copied the previous clip again onto the video editing format in order to reverse the clip separately. I again clicked onto the part of the video I wanted to edit, went onto ‘speed/duration’, and ticked the ‘reverse speed’ box. I left it at normal speed of 100% as the ‘reverse speed’ worked effectively at normal speed. These effects give a great entrance into the next part of the fashion film.

In terms of the colour correction of the film itself, I didn’t make any changes to the visual appearance. I wanted the film to look as natural as possible and ended up being happy with how it looked without editing it up. The title at the beginning of the film shows the brand name that this film is inspired for. I carefully chose the font, making sure that it matched the style of the brand. The credits at the end of the film is there to let the audience know the name of the film, who created it, co produced it & the models.

I aim to hire out a camera provided by UCA, in order to have a high quality fashion film. Seeing as I am shooting on location, I am relying on natural light to be the source for my fashion film. I aim to shoot on a sunny/bright day. The second half of my fashion film is going to be set in an open kitchen area within a house. I already had a ring light, which would be useful to add on top of natural lighting.

This is the chosen music for my autumn/winter look book. After looking through the non copyrighted playlists on YouTube, I came across this one which I felt best suited the style of the brand and fashion film. It has a happy beat to it, which makes you feel positive when listening to it.

I think it is great that In The Style chose to collaborate with Fashion In Flux as so many women already follow her content on Instagram, seeing what outfits she’s putting together on a daily basis.
