the fact that booker asks nile why you? and the answer being because she was meant to stop his betrayal.
the narrative of fate is so perfectly woven through old guard. andy loses her immortality just in time to see nile and remember the worth of life. just in time for booker to really understand what he's doing, and what all he has to lose.
nile is everything that they need. and not just because of some greater power. not just because she's another immortal. but because she's caring and courageous and forgiving enough to save them.
