Logically the other problem though is when Tachikomas mentally grow & obtain wisdom, they are an uncontrolled process. As such, unknown or undesirable mindsets may arise unless they have an externalized hardware limiter against such growth directions. That is the danger that The Major is very wary of.-
I agree. The major has every right to be concerned about the Tachikomas. However, I do think that they deserve better than to be treated as just machines at this point. They are forming their own opinions about their existences and wants. I wonder if this continues, if the Tachikomas will form a kind of "ghost". A kind of soul made from experiences. Furthermore, I wonder if a ghost or soul is made when a person is born or if it comes into existence as people learn and grow? if so, then the Tachikomas could be forming souls. This would add a new layer to the Tachikomas, would dismantling them and whipping their memory's be the same as murdering them?-
Cute universal headcanon that Tres would be into old hollywood movies or watch Fred Astaire like closely analyzing the guy's dancing cuz wow humans can move pretty dang interesting. And then when he's alone, he'd try to emulate and then after much trial and error, he gets it and is boss at it.

There's still a sense of purity to Tres no matter how many kills he has or other horrible things he's ordered to do. He can't be corrupted in a way that others can be and it goes hand in hand with his ignorance to some things. He could also be the embodiment of "Guns don't kill people, it's people who use them" ironically. He is the gun.
How good is Tres' vision?
Ridiculously good. Even if he’s looking at one thing straight ahead, he can still focus on other things around that particular line of sight very clearly. Sometimes he doesn’t even need to look where he’s shooting so he isn’t that dependent on his vision, he could still function properly without it like during the Iblis arc.
Personal headcanon is that he has thermographic/infrared and night vision capability and I doubt he’d need to use the scope on a Sniper rifle too if his eyes have that magnification quality.
When an assignment calls for it, of course he can't be talking as he is so can change his voice, even mimic others voices, adopting speech patterns and impediments like stuttering, lisps. Evidence of this capability is in RAM Vol.3: Judas Priest Chapter III where he acts as a decoy for the Pope.
He also pretty much knows every single language in Europe there is.
