The small supply of burnouts Rinzler had hidden between the wall of his room and the recharge slab was running low. There was hardly any opportunities where they had to chance to get more, other than stealing them from Dyson and currently it was the perfect time to restock.
The Marshal was supposed to be out for the next work cycle, sent somewhere Rinzler hadn’t bothered to check too deeply into. He only cared that it meant Dyson’s room was unoccupied. The other program had a stash somewhere in here, but the usual spot was empty. It didnt make sense for Dyson to let them run out though, he seemed to hoard them relentlessly after all. Had he realized Rinzler had been stealing some and moved it?
Whatever, it didn’t matter as long as he found them. Carefully he began searching around for the places they may be hidden.
