honestly that’s pretty accurate. jp . . . always has things on his mind, always has something to be working on or caring about that he barely has anytime to discover things about himself, like feelings or personal desires, barely has time or understanding or ability for relationships. it’s why he’s had so many women walk out on him and that on top of his dad walking out makes him even more sort of “desperate for love and acceptance” but also very wary and just unwanting of it. like he feels very obligated to always be in a relationship but when he gets in one he pretty much sabotages it either by pure obliviousness or feeling they need to “prove it to him” and stupid shit. he’s just not overly concerned with what he himself wants at the end of the day. it’s frustrating b/c he does care a lot about noel and he doesn’t actually realise he’s pretty attracted to him considering he’s actually really really sexually straight but romantically . . . well he’s bi but that’s like a whole other topic that’s very complex for him but yeah. with work there isn’t any compromise and it bothers him when exes used to get so mad about that because he made it clear and thought they would support his career but they don’t, they just walk out b/c he doesn’t spend enough time with them on top of his anger issues. With noel he really doesn’t want to compromise the shit they’ve gotten themselves into with feelings he isn’t sure about ??? but they’re there ?? so i’m just ?? sCREAMING ON THE INSIDE because he’s so unwilling to open up and he’ll never ever risk his job for romance tbh. that’s just who he is really which is a shame b/c noel wants something else B’((
