The eyes saw a lot more than he ever cared to see. That was how they worked – weeding their way into hosts, ugly little parasites that peeked into the lives of whoever they inhabited. Cold, slimy, unpleasant. They didn’t always hurt as they burrowed their way into unsuspecting humans. It all depended on what Fiidora wanted them to do. Sometimes, they slithered in quietly – calmly – so much that the host didn’t know one for the wiser. It was easier when there was little resistance. But sometimes, the hosts fell sick. Unconscious and ailing, their eyes turning black as their bodies withered and threatened to collapse. Fiidora reserved the painful ones for the enemies: the exorcists, the Order’s dogs. One stubborn exorcist in particular he was particularly rough with, selecting a more temperamental parasite to slip into the young man’s body out of spite. Even with Fiidora disappearing miles away, he could hear the agonized the screams and feel the painful tremors, the Order’s scientists unable to offer any help at all. Eventually, Fiidora grew bored. After the parasite securely planted itself, he allowed the eye to fall quiet, the exorcist seemingly making a recovery. Seemingly. Besides – while the parasitic eye served as a spy, Fiidora didn’t harbor too much interest in that exorcist. Fiidora didn’t care for the temperamental self-righteousness or the heated energy. Even when he confronted him, his interest had been much more directed to the exorcist’s comrades – the Bookmen.
