----- the woman startles at the soft, pleading voice of Danny, turning her head to scrutinize the Ghost Boy. She is hardened, all rough edges &&. no tenderness. Yet, in the face of someone young who sounded so soft and slightly fearful. Maternal instincts rear its head &&. she offers a smile, brittle around the edges. “Sure. Lemme get Hermes, alright? You can take the guest room, if you want to sleep over or something.” Val cants her head, impossibly soft. “Something bothering you?”

          her heart feels heavy in her chest,  never once having a moment of relaxation.  her eyes scan quickly and spot somebody,  and as nervous as she was about confronting people,  she did so anyway despite the fear she felt.   “   excuse me?  do you know where the nearest gas station is?   ”     ╱     @fightsdeath   !  sc.
